Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this hardened RHEL 7 image, billed per running EC2 instance. The price depends only on which instance type you launch. Each dimension matches one EC2 instance type, from small general-purpose sizes to large compute, memory, storage, GPU, and bare-metal options. There are no tiers or feature bundles to choose between. Larger instance types with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry higher hourly rates. You scale cost by picking a size and by how many hours each instance runs. Stopping an instance stops its hourly charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You get a hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 image with Patch Guard, launched on the EC2 instance type you select. The image includes updates, firewalls, and network protocols. The hourly rate covers the software license; the matching instance size determines the compute, memory, and hardware you run.
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. A stopped instance stops its hourly software charge. Note that stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes, which are billed by AWS and are not part of this software license.
Each instance type carries its own hourly rate. Switching to a type with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware moves you to that type's rate for the hours it runs. There is no tier upgrade or bundle change. You pay the rate tied to whichever type is active.
