AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay on usage across two dimensions that add together. The first charges for each GB of data scanned, whether the file is clean or infected. Data volume is measured in binary gigabytes (1 GB = 2^30 bytes). The second charges per vCPU hour for the virtual machines that run the scans inside your own AWS account. Costs scale with both how much data you scan and how long the scanning instances run. You pay only while those instances are active. Uninstalling the software stops these charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
How do the per-GB scanned charge and the vCPU-hour charge combine on my bill?
Both charges apply at the same time and add together. The per-GB charge tracks how much data you scan. The vCPU-hour charge tracks how long the scanning instances run. Steady, continuous scanning tends to raise the vCPU-hour portion, while large data volumes raise the per-GB portion.
What counts toward the per-GB scanned charge?
You are charged for each gigabyte of data scanned, whether the file turns out clean or infected. Volume is measured in binary gigabytes, where 1 GB equals 2^30 bytes (also called a gibibyte). Files that cannot be scanned, such as those over the size limit, are tagged accordingly.
Am I charged when the scanning instances are stopped or after I uninstall?
The vCPU-hour charge applies only while scanning instances run. By default, auto-scaling keeps one instance active, but you can adjust instance type or the maximum instance count. When you uninstall the software, both charges stop. Underlying AWS services like storage and queues bill separately.

AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
