Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. The 15 options are not feature tiers; they are different compute sizes for the same software. General-purpose instances (the m3, m4, and t2/t3/t3a families) range from smaller sizes like t3.large up to larger ones like m4.16xlarge. Larger instances give you more CPU and memory and bill at a higher hourly rate. You choose the size that fits your workload, and charges accrue only while the instance runs. There is no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each option maps to an AWS EC2 instance type. The t3, t3a, and t2 families offer burstable general-purpose compute in sizes like large, xlarge, and 2xlarge. The m3 and m4 families offer fixed general-purpose compute, up to m4.16xlarge. Larger sizes carry more vCPU and memory.
Software charges accrue per hour only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software fees. Underlying AWS storage for a stopped instance may still bill separately through AWS. The software meter counts running time only.
The hourly charge covers running the software on your chosen instance size. Hossted also offers separate enterprise support plans for open-source applications, including troubleshooting, severity-based response times, and a dedicated account manager. Those support plans are arranged with the vendor and are not part of the hourly instance billing shown here.

After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). The machine is accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. Login credentials and additional details are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
