    Overview

    Open image

WEI's AWS Cloud Health Check is a structured architecture assessment designed to validate, benchmark, and optimize your AWS workloads against AWS Well-Architected-inspired best practices. WEI's certified cloud architects review your workload across all six pillars of architectural excellence: Security, Operational Excellence, Reliability, Performance Efficiency, Cost Optimization, and Sustainability.

    Who This Is For

This engagement is ideal for organizations preparing workloads for production launch, teams responding to a cost spike or security concern, companies undergoing compliance preparation, or any team that has not reviewed their architecture against AWS best practices in the past 12 months. Whether you are a SaaS company scaling for enterprise customers, a healthcare organization validating controls before go-live, or a mid-market team migrating legacy workloads, the Health Check provides a structured path to architectural confidence.

    How It Works

The health check follows a three-step process:

    • Assess - WEI conducts a focused architecture review of your AWS workload, typically in a 3-4 hour discovery session. Through structured interviews and direct environment analysis, WEI evaluates workload design, operational practices, architecture decisions, and optimization opportunities across the six pillars.

    • Report - WEI delivers a formal findings report with prioritized risks ranked High, Medium, and Low, along with mapped remediation actions for each identified gap.

    • Remediate (Optional) - WEI provides consulting services to implement recommended improvements, including infrastructure-as-code updates, security hardening, cost optimization changes, and operational runbook enhancements.

    Scope and Prerequisites

Each engagement covers a single workload. Multi-workload, multi-account, or multi-region environments can be scoped as additional engagements. Customer prerequisites include: AWS account access (read-only IAM role for WEI architects), availability of key stakeholders for discovery interviews, and any existing architecture documentation. Exclusions include on-premises infrastructure, third-party SaaS services not running on AWS, and formal compliance attestation or certification issuance.

    Data Handling and Security

WEI architects connect to customer environments using temporary, read-only IAM credentials scoped to the assessment workload. Assessment data and findings reports are transmitted and stored using encryption in transit and at rest. Access to customer data is limited to assigned engagement personnel. Sensitive findings are shared only through secure channels agreed upon in the Statement of Work.
