Enterprise-grade virtual waiting room that prevents website crashes during high-traffic events, ensuring fair access and maximizing revenue for AWS-hosted applications through seamless CloudFront integration.
CrowdHandler is an enterprise-grade virtual waiting room solution that protects AWS-hosted websites and applications from traffic overload during high-demand events such as ticket sales, product launches, flash sales, and limited-edition drops.
By integrating directly with Amazon CloudFront using Lambda@Edge, CrowdHandler manages user access at the edge of AWS's global network, preventing server crashes and ensuring your infrastructure never becomes overwhelmed. This lightweight integration adds only 20 milliseconds to page load times while offloading queued users entirely from your origin servers, reducing AWS compute costs and maintaining optimal performance.
The platform features intelligent rate limiting, one-in-one-out capacity controls, customizable branded waiting rooms with countdown timers, real-time queue position updates, and automated throughput optimization through AutoTune technology. Advanced capabilities include bot detection, device fingerprinting, priority access codes for VIP customers, real-time inventory synchronization to prevent overselling, and CAPTCHA integration for enhanced security.
Trusted by entertainment brands, sports teams, Fortune 500 companies, government institutions, and e-commerce retailers worldwide, CrowdHandler ensures fair access during peak demand while maximizing revenue and protecting your brand reputation.
Deploy to CloudFront in hours using CloudFormation templates, with no changes required to your application code or web servers. The solution works seamlessly with e-commerce platforms including Shopify and WooCommerce, integrates with Google Analytics for comprehensive tracking, and provides real-time dashboards for monitoring queue status and application performance.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose from three plans billed under a contract: Plus, Professional, and Enterprise. Each plan is a flat, tiered subscription measured in units, so you pick one tier rather than combining separate options. The tiers differ mainly by capacity, such as how many customers can wait at once and the rate users enter your site. Higher tiers add more waiting rooms, domains, and support commitments. Sessions are not metered, so your billing stays fixed for the tier you select. See the pricing table for the price of each plan.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What happens to my bill if I run more sessions or need more capacity during a big event?
Each plan uses flat, tiered pricing with no session metering, so running more sessions does not change your bill. If you need more concurrent waiting capacity or a faster entry rate, you move to a plan with a larger capacity tier. Session volume itself carries no extra charge.
What separates the Plus, Professional, and Enterprise plans besides price?
Capacity and scope drive the difference. Higher tiers raise the number of customers who can wait at once and the rate users enter your site. They also add more independent waiting rooms, more protected domains, more team seats, and stronger support commitments like uptime and response-time targets.
Are bot protection, branded templates, and API access included, or billed as extras?
These are included in your plan, not billed separately. CAPTCHAs, device fingerprinting, threat blocking, custom branded templates, email notifications, and API access come with the flat plan fee. There are no per-session meters or add-on charges layered on top of the tier you select.

Easy WordPress Integration, Great Performance Under High Traffic
Reviewed on Apr 17, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
The website was easy to use and implement with our project, it had all the tools we needed at the right price. We were easily able to integrate into our website with Wordpress, and having the tool enabled our website to maintain great performance during high traffic moments. The team at CrowdHandler was excellent and supported our needs throughout the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
After signing up for the free trial, we decided to pick a plan, but then lost all free trial features that wasn't disclosed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our website is running a conference and every year there is a registration opening day, hundreds of users come to the website at the same time, 12pm and login to order registrations and add-ons. Performance degrades significantly, and the server needs a restart. One hosting company wanted 12K dollars to provide 100% uptime for the event, so we found this service which puts users in a waiting room and it worked flawless, for way less cost.
