    Qdata NMIBC

     Info
    Deployed on AWS
Qdata NMIBC is a curated, real-world dataset of 74,000+ de-identified patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer in the U.S. This exclusive dataset is derived from electronic health records in the American Urological Association (AUA) Quality (AQUA) Registry that are linked with medical and pharmacy claims data. Qdata NMIBC curated variables include T stage, grade, and treatment.

    Overview

Qdata NMIBC is a curated, real-world dataset of 74,000+ de-identified patients with non-muscle invasive bladder cancer in the U.S. This exclusive dataset is derived from electronic health records in the American Urological Association (AUA) Quality (AQUA) Registry that are linked with medical and pharmacy claims data. Qdata NMIBC curated variables include T stage, grade, and treatment. Specific tables include patient demographics, treatment, visit, and observation.

For more information on Qdata NMIBC, visit veranahealth.com  or complete this form  to request a sample dataset or speak with a team member.

The AQUA Registry is a national Qualified Clinical Data Registry that collects real-world data from more than 2,200 active providers in the U.S. Verana Health has the exclusive rights to the management and analysis of this de-identified data, which includes more than 95 million patient encounters over 10 years.

    Key Qdata NMIBC Variables

    T stage

The Tumor (T) stage of the TNM staging system is a key clinical indicator for NMIBC as every patient is N0M0 if they have non-invasive muscle disease since there is no lymph node (N0) and distance metastasis (M0). T stage is extracted from EHR clinical notes.

    Tumor Grade

This module provides grade information as extracted from the EHR clinical notes represented as either high grade or low grade. The higher the number, the less the tumor resembles a normal cell.

    NMIBC Treatments

The patient treatment table includes longitudinal information for therapies using EHR data linked with claims to give the most complete view of real-world treatment patterns. While EHR data contains a variety of treatments, codes in this table have been subsetted to those associated with bladder cancer.

The treatments table contains (2) categories of treatments, Treatment and Surveillance. Examples of these are listed as follows:

    Treatments
    • TURBT
    • Bladder biopsy
    • Intravesical Therapy
    • BCG
    • Mitomycin
    • Gemcitabine
    • Valrubicin
    • Interferon
    • Docetaxel
    • Doxorubicin
    • Epirubicin
    • Pembrolizumab
    • Thiotepa
    Surveillance
    • Cystoscopy
    • Cytology
    • FISH

    Use Cases

This Qdata module can be used to understand the real-world care and the journeys of patients with NMIBC that are treated within urology practices. For example, those who meet certain risk category criteria (e.g., high-risk NMIBC) or receive particular treatment types (e.g., BCG or chemotherapy treated populations). The data can be used to explore real-world disease burden, patient characteristics, treatment patterns, and clinical outcomes related to NMIBC due to the availability of longitudinal, linked EHR and medical/pharmacy claims data.
