This contract covers three deployment models for DDoS protection, which you buy as units. The Hybrid Cloud model pairs on-premises mitigation with cloud scrubbing and is sized by attack traffic, up to 2Gbps under attack. The On-Demand model diverts traffic to the cloud only during volumetric attacks and is sized by legitimate traffic, up to 10Mbps. The Always-On model continuously routes traffic through the cloud, also sized by legitimate traffic up to 10Mbps. A separate Connectivity unit covers the network link. You pick the model and quantity that fit your topology.

On-Demand diverts traffic to the cloud only during volumetric attacks, so your traffic flows normally in peacetime. Always-On continuously routes all traffic through the cloud regardless of attack activity. Both are bought as units sized by legitimate traffic, so the unit count reflects your capacity, not attack frequency.
The Connectivity unit covers the network link that carries your traffic to the service. It is billed separately from the Hybrid, On-Demand, and Always-On protection units. You add it alongside your chosen protection model, so your total combines the protection units plus the connectivity units for the link.

UI can feel complex for new administrators and may require some training to fully utilize all the features. Initial traffic baselining and tuning may be needed to optimize behavioral-based detection and minimize false positives

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the Radware Cloud DDoS Protection Service because of its AI threat protection and behavioral analysis capabilities. The working principle of this cloud service is pretty impressive for both small and medium businesses (SMBs) as well as large-scale environments. I like that it uses WAF, API protection, and bot mitigation at Layer 7 to detect any malicious activities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost structure is quite expensive, especially since it's user-based. The initial setup and implementation are very complex, and there isn't any dedicated or publicly available documentation to guide new organizations. This can cause difficulties during the implementation phase. Also, the reporting part needs improvement to be more clear and informative.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Radware Cloud DDoS Protection Service for bot mitigation, WAF, API protection, and Layer 7 security, safeguarding our consumer-facing portals. It uses AI and behavioral analysis, making it impressive for both SMBs and large-scale environments.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Radware Cloud DDoS service is its multi-layer protection approach, both at the application layer level and in mitigating layer 3 and layer 4 attacks. Additionally, it has the ability to detect anomalous patterns in real-time thanks to its behavior-based detection algorithms, which facilitates the identification of more advanced attacks. Similarly, I highlight the large number of scrubbing centers they have and their ability to absorb large-scale volumetric attacks. Having this type of rapid scaling for a company is essential.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really like that the Defense Pro teams are somehow limited to 50 in the number of policies and security profiles. This leaves me limited if I have more public IPs to protect, as I need to be able to establish a policy for each public IP, which is the most granular way to protect my assets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being in the financial sector, it is essential for me to have this solution, as my most critical services must always be available to my clients, not only for regulatory reasons but also because of the responsibility and trust my clients place in my service. All the IPs and services I have published are, in one way or another, kept protected against various types of attacks to which my applications are usually exposed. The Radware DDoS solution benefits me greatly because it allows me to establish several protection parameters over my assets; moreover, I can define how the tool should behave automatically if it detects suspicious behavior, which makes this solution quite autonomous and independent in certain scenarios.
