Eon introduces the first backup autopilot for cloud infrastructure. It enables cloud backup posture management and transforms traditional, hard-to-use backups into valuable assets.
Autonomously scanning, mapping, and classifying cloud resources continuously. Eon provides backup recommendations based on business and compliance needs, and ensures the appropriate backup policy is in use. Backup storage is fully managed on the platform, portable, and provides global search capabilities, enabling customers to find and restore individual files and run SQL queries on backed-up database snapshots seamlessly, without requiring full resource provisioning.
Highlights
Continuous resource mapping and classification based on environment type (production, development, staging, or QA), and data classes (e.g., PII, PHI, financial info). No tagging required!
Automated cloud backup posture management based on data classes, setting backup retention to the right period, reducing storage costs associated with over-backing-up your data, while preventing unnecessary business exposure.
Global search and restoration of individual files with the ability to run SQL queries to retrieve select database records across all backed up data sources, without having to provision full servers and databases.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses usage-based pricing measured in cents, where each unit equals 1 cent of usage. You pay for the storage you back up on a per-gigabyte, per-month basis. Two dimensions share this same unit definition. The Eon Usage dimension bills you as you consume the service. The Eon Contract dimension lets you set a spending commitment that aligns with your expected capacity and future growth. Both draw down against the same cent-based usage measure, so your total reflects actual backup storage rather than fixed seats or instance sizes.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one billing unit actually measure for this platform?
Each unit equals one cent of usage. Usage is calculated from the storage you back up, billed on a per-gigabyte, per-month basis. You only pay to store data that has changed, since backups are incremental. Your unit count rises with the volume of protected backup data.
How do the Eon Usage and Eon Contract dimensions differ mechanically for my bill?
Both meter the same cent-based storage usage. Eon Usage charges you as you consume, with no set spending amount. Eon Contract sets a spending commitment matched to your expected capacity and growth. The contract draws down against your actual usage rather than a fixed resource count.
Does my cost change if I over-back-up or store redundant copies?
Yes. Because you pay per gigabyte stored, unnecessary versioning, over-retention, or duplicate regional copies raise your usage. Eon stores only changed data blocks and can flag over-backups from policy drift or incorrect tagging, which lowers the storage you are billed for.
