GigaVUE Cloud Suite™ helps organizations fortify their security and performance monitoring postures by delivering network-derived intelligence to tools. Teams can leverage these capabilities to eliminate visibility blind spots in East-West traffic, simplify access to critical intelligence, expedite identification of various security and performance issues, and reveal unknown risks. Using Gigamon to access workloads running in AWS helps organizations continue their usage of VPCs while benefiting from improved operational efficiency, a reinforced security posture, and better cost management.
With this solution, organizations can:
Deliver visibility to security and monitoring tools without increasing load on compute instances as more tools are deployed
Gain access into areas that are hard to analyze including container-to-container, VM-to-VM, VPC-to-VPC, and encrypted traffic
Manage the cost of tool data consumption by leveraging GigaSMART® to filter unnecessary traffic and deliver only traffic necessary to each tool
The Solution includes three key components:
-GigaVUE® Universal Cloud Tap (UCT): Lightweight agents deployed on the EC2 instances, which mirror and send traffic to the V Series for processing
GigaVUE® Visibility Node: Visibility nodes deployed in each VPC that aggregate traffic from disparate agents, select, optimize and distribute traffic to various tools simultaneously
GigaVUE-FM: Single-pane-of-glass management of traffic acquisition points and intelligence delivery flows across on-premises and in AWS
Highlights
Increased AWS Security and Monitoring: Centralize access to critical intelligence across your AWS infrastructure to rapidly identify security threats and performance issues
Enhanced Network Traffic Intelligence: Upgrade the stream of intelligence fed to tools by gaining insight into the applications traversing VPCs and deliver critical data as NetFlow records or traffic streams to security and monitoring tools
Improved Operational Agility: Manage delivery of intelligence to tools from anywhere using a single-pane-of-glass orchestration and rapidly identify changes in AWS VPCs through integration with AWS APIs

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the Amazon EC2 instance that runs GigaVUE Cloud Suite NetVUE, sized for up to 2500TB of traffic per day. Three instance choices set the rate: m5.2xlarge, m5.xlarge, and m4.xlarge. These are not feature tiers. They reflect different compute sizes, so you match the instance to your workload. Billing accrues for each hour an instance runs, and your total cost scales with how many instances you deploy and how long they operate. You add underlying AWS infrastructure charges separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the m5.2xlarge, m4.xlarge, and m5.xlarge instance choices actually change on my bill?
Each choice sets the hourly software rate tied to that Amazon EC2 instance size. They are not feature tiers. You pick the compute size that matches your traffic-processing needs. A larger instance carries a higher hourly rate. Your bill reflects which instance you run and for how long.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge accrues only while an instance runs. Fully stopped instances do not accrue software charges. Stopped instances may still incur separate AWS storage fees for attached volumes. To stop all software charges, you shut the instance down.
What does this product deploy on AWS, and what does the hourly rate cover?
It deploys visibility nodes inside your VPCs to aggregate, select, and deliver network traffic to your security and monitoring tools. The hourly rate covers the software running on the chosen Amazon EC2 instance. Underlying AWS compute, storage, and network charges bill separately through your AWS account.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
