Overview
Please note: This is not a standalone product and will NOT operate on its own. In order to use this product, GigaVUE Cloud Suite Fabric Manager must exist somewhere first.
GigaVUE Cloud Suite™ helps organizations fortify their security and performance monitoring postures by delivering network-derived intelligence to tools. Teams can leverage these capabilities to eliminate visibility blind spots in East-West traffic, simplify access to critical intelligence, expedite identification of various security and performance issues, and reveal unknown risks. Using Gigamon to access workloads running in AWS helps organizations continue their usage of VPCs while benefiting from improved operational efficiency, a reinforced security posture, and better cost management.
With this solution, organizations can:
Deliver visibility to security and monitoring tools without increasing load on compute instances as more tools are deployed
Gain access into areas that are hard to analyze including container-to-container, VM-to-VM, VPC-to-VPC, and encrypted traffic
Manage the cost of tool data consumption by leveraging GigaSMART® to filter unnecessary traffic and deliver only traffic necessary to each tool
The Solution includes three key components:
GigaVUE® Universal Cloud Tap (UCT): Lightweight agents deployed on the EC2 instances, which mirror and send traffic to the V Series for processing
GigaVUE® Visibility Node: Visibility nodes deployed in each VPC that aggregate traffic from disparate agents, select, optimize and distribute traffic to various tools simultaneously
GigaVUE-FM: Single-pane-of-glass management of traffic acquisition points and intelligence delivery flows across on-premises and in AWS GigaVUE Cloud Suite™ helps organizations fortify their security and performance monitoring postures by delivering network-derived intelligence to tools. Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
