Container Delivery
- Amazon ECS
Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.

Usage instructions
Prerequisites : An AWS account with appropriate permissions for services like ECR, ECS, CloudFormation, S3, RDS etc Docker should be installed on the local machine
-
Download Container Images: Locate the "Container Images" section within the provided instructions. Use the commands listed there to download the necessary container images to your local environment. These commands will typically involve tools like docker pull. Check downloaded images by using "docker image ls" command.
-
Set Up Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR) (if needed): Before proceeding, check if you already have an Amazon ECR repository. If you don't have an ECR repository, create one for each image following the AWS documentation or instructions available within the marketplace product details. For more details on how to create ECR please see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonECR/latest/userguide/repository-create.html
-
Push Container Images to ECR: Once you have an ECR repository, identify the appropriate repository for your container images. locate the section titled "View Push Commands" (or similar). These commands will guide you on pushing the downloaded container images to your chosen ECR repository. Skip 2nd step of docker build.
-
Create the S3 Bucket: Create four S3 bucket which can be used for storage purposes within your application e.g. predeal-staging-bucket, predeal-destination-bucket, predeal-upload-bucket, predeal-analytics-bucket . For more details how to create S3 bucket please see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/create-bucket-overview.html

Deploy Using Amazon CloudFormation:
5.1 Create the Database Stack: Locate and execute the "RDS-Template" provided within the instructions. This template will create the database resources required for your application using Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).
5.2 Deploy the Backend: Locate and execute the "Backend-Template" provided. This template will deploy the backend portion of your application. While executing the template, you'll be prompted to provide necessary environment variables. These variables configure specific settings for your application. Upon successful execution, the backend URL will be generated. You can access this URL later to interact with your application's backend services. To find the backend URL, navigate to the Amazon Elastic Container Service (ECS) console and select the appropriate service and task. Look for the network binding option and copy the corresponding IP address.
5.3 Deploy the admin Frontend: Execute the "Admin-Frontend-Template" provided. This template will deploy the user interface (frontend) of your application. During execution, you'll need to provide environment variables again, including the backend URL generated in step 5.2. When specifying the backend URL, format it as follows: http://{ip address}/fundae/. Replace {ip address} with the actual backend URL you obtained in step 5.2.
5.4 Deploy the Predeal Frontend: Execute the "Predeal-Frontend-Template" provided.
5.5 Accessing Your Application: Executing the frontend template will create an elastic load balancer with a specific name (provided as an environment variable). Navigate to the EC2/Load Balancers section within the AWS Management Console. Locate the newly created load balancer and copy its DNS name. This DNS name is the public URL you'll use to access your deployed application.
