Insight SQL Testing is SQL test automation tool to help version upgrades test and migration assessment which has follwing features.
- Automatically collects SQLs executed in production databases (supports both on-prem, RDS)
- Execute the collected SQLs on test environments and compare its "result" including execution errors, result set comparison and execution time
- Analyze results on GUI which supports SQL modification information with generative AI
This public offer can be used for version upgrade testing for Amazon RDS for MySQL, Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora MySQL and Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL. Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. The four dimensions map to compute capacity: m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, m5.4xlarge, and m5.8xlarge. These are not feature tiers. Each option gives you the same SQL testing software with more CPU and memory as you move up the sizes. Pick the instance that fits your database migration or testing workload. Billing accrues per hour of use, so costs scale with how long each instance runs and which size you choose. There is no upfront commitment with this hourly model.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each size is an EC2 instance type with a fixed CPU and memory allocation. As you move from m5.xlarge up to m5.8xlarge, the vCPU and memory roughly double at each step. Larger sizes handle bigger SQL test batches or higher database loads in parallel.
Hourly software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops the hourly software meter. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the stopped instance's disk, but the testing software itself meters running hours only.
Yes. Because billing is hourly with no upfront commitment, you can stop one size and start another. You pay only for the hours each size actually runs. Choose a smaller size for light assessments and a larger one for heavy SQL capture or load testing.
