Highlights
Insight SQL Testing is SQL test automation tool to help version upgrades test for Amazon RDS or Amazon Aurora and migration assessment for on-prem Oracle to Amazon Aurora.
Insight SQL Testing automates most time-consuming activities in SQL tests which are 'Capturing SQLs and building test cases' and 'Executing the SQLs and validating the results'.
Insight SQL Testing checks incompatible SQLs by using actual SQLs and data, and get clear estimate of the costs associated with application migration.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. All four options bill hourly under a usage model, so you are charged only for the time the software runs. The dimensions map to compute capacity: m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, m5.4xlarge, and m5.8xlarge. Each step up represents a larger instance with more compute resources. You choose the size that matches your SQL testing workload. Larger instances suit heavier or higher-volume testing. There is no upfront commitment, and you can scale the instance choice to your needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does each hourly EC2 instance dimension actually deliver in compute terms?
Each dimension maps to a specific m5 instance size. The m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, m5.4xlarge, and m5.8xlarge step up in vCPU and memory. Larger sizes handle heavier or higher-volume SQL testing. You pick the instance that fits your workload and pay for the hours it runs.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or idle between test runs?
Software charges accrue per hour while the instance runs. Stopping the instance stops the software hourly charge. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software meters running time only.
How do I decide which instance size fits my SQL testing workload?
The software captures production SQL and runs it against a target database for compatibility, result, and performance testing. Higher SQL volumes and larger datasets suit bigger instances. Smaller assessments or lower-volume tests can run on smaller sizes. You can switch sizes based on the workload you plan to test.
