Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. All four options bill hourly under a usage model, so you are charged only for the time the software runs. You choose the size that matches your SQL testing workload. Larger instances suit heavier or higher-volume testing. Each dimension maps to a specific m5 instance size. The m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, m5.4xlarge, and m5.8xlarge step up in vCPU and memory. Larger sizes handle heavier or higher-volume SQL testing. You pick the instance that fits your workload and pay for the hours it runs.
Software charges accrue per hour while the instance runs. Stopping the instance stops the software hourly charge. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply while the instance is stopped, but the software meters running time only.
The software captures production SQL and runs it against a target database for compatibility, result, and performance testing. Higher SQL volumes and larger datasets suit bigger instances. Smaller assessments or lower-volume tests can run on smaller sizes. You can switch sizes based on the workload you plan to test.
