Centralized hosting has transformed how I manage client sites and focus on content and campaigns
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has been phenomenal over the past three years that I have been using it, and I would say it has been a game changer, especially when it comes to managing our client's sites.
It is very easy to use and anyone can use it. That is a bonus added advantage. WP Engine makes it really easy to manage all my client sites from one spot, a centralized spot, where I am able to manage all the sites on the go.
The support team is definitely worth mentioning. It is definitely a highlight. They are quick to answer thoroughly and often resolve my issues for me quickly, which is a great relief because it takes some technical load off my hands. I do not have to dig through documentation or forums.
I also like the site's ease of use.
A quick specific example of how I use WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform in my day-to-day work is that it simplifies the managing of multiple sites for a customer from one spot. It offers excellent support for technical issues like migration and security, so it is very affordable.
I can manage sites without individual logins and I feel more secure. The support team quickly resolves the issues, reducing technical overload.
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is the platform that we use as the core hosting and management platform for all our customer-facing websites.
In my day-to-day work, from managing our main corporate site to launching campaign landing pages and blogs, it has made a big difference. In a recent project where we had to launch a new product site quickly and had high traffic, WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform helped to handle the speed, security, and automatic updates without any downtime, which greatly saved our team a lot of time.
It also allows our marketing team to focus on content and lead generation instead of worrying about technical maintenance, patching, caching, or security patches. It has been an overall great platform for our organization.
How has it helped my organization?
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has positively impacted my organization by providing specific and measurable improvements over the past three years that I have been using this platform as a marketing executive. Our average page load time dropped from 3.5 seconds to under 1.2 seconds, which generally improved our Google ranking and the overall bounce rate.
Our organic traffic increased by about 45% within three months because of the SEO performance and uptime. Our team now launches landing pages faster because we can use the staging and one-click deploy without waiting for IT support.
The impact on our team's productivity since using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has been very clear and measurable. From my experience, we used to spend at least four to five hours every week dealing with slow site issues, plugin conflicts, and manual backups. Since we started using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, everything is automated.
All of that, with the daily backups, threat blocking, and one-click staging, has enabled us to save a lot of time to create content and run campaigns.
What is most valuable?
The best features WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform offers include the ease of use, which makes it a really easy to use platform, even for the non-technical. Any user can use it. I also love the intuitive user interface, which is easy to customize and navigate, even for new users.
I also love the speed and performance optimization. I love the EverCache and the Global CDN, which makes our page load instantly for customers everywhere. I also love the Smart Plugin Manager and automatic WordPress core updates, which helps to save our marketing team hours of work so we can focus on campaigns instead of maintenance.
The one-click staging environment and the enterprise-level security and daily backups give us peace of mind.
Regarding WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform's AI capabilities, I feel very comfortable with the governance and security because from a marketing perspective, data privacy and compliance are critical, and WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform handles it very professionally with strong governance controls, role-based permissions, and also clear audit trails for any AI-generated content.
I also love how it manages data in a secure manner with encrypted storage and private data handling.
In terms of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform's AI capabilities, I think its accuracy and reliability of output is very high, and it has definitely met my expectation. The AI content suggestion, smart search, and personalization features produce relevant and on-brand outputs that need little to no editing compared to generic AI tools.
What needs improvement?
One aspect of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform that could be improved is the delete option for environments.
One of the other downsides I have noticed is that WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform can be a bit expensive, which makes it difficult to justify the cost for smaller clients. This is not a deal breaker for larger enterprises or larger companies' operations where the value is clear. But for agencies managing smaller client websites, it can add up quickly.
It could improve the consistency of the user dashboard, as the layout and navigation seem to change fairly often, which can make it difficult to quickly find tools and settings.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform for approximately three years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
According to my experience, which has been very positive, WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is very stable. I have not experienced downtime. It is been a very stable platform, extremely stable and reliable. We have been using it for our main marketing sites and we have experienced almost zero downtime, even during high-traffic campaign launches. I would say it offers 99.99% uptime.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform's scalability is excellent and it is built for growth. It can handle growth and increased traffic during product launches perfectly.
How are customer service and support?
What makes WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform a very perfect platform for me is because of their support, which is top-notch and unparalleled. Within minutes of opening a chat, I am connected with a highly technical person who is actually solving my problem. That is very rare with other tools.
The customer support for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is top-notch. Every time I have had an issue, it was always resolved with care and efficiency.
I would rate the customer support of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform a perfect 10 out of 10. The customer support is outstanding. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and provide quick and professional services.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a very clear return on investment with WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform. For example, we have saved around 45% on hosting and maintenance costs because we do not need an external agency to manage security, updates, and performance.
We also save around four to five hours per week in team time that was previously spent on troubleshooting and manual backups. We are able to run our marketing operations with fewer technical resources, meaning we did not need to hire an additional developer.
In terms of revenue, our site speed improved, our conversion rate is up 25%, and our SEO traffic increased. The platform has paid for itself within the first few months.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
Regarding my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing for my organization, since it is a huge organization, we are able to manage a lot of clients' websites, and the price has been reasonable and manageable overall.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I evaluated other options before choosing WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, including some tools like SiteGround and GoDaddy.
What other advice do I have?
I would rate WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform a perfect 10 out of 10. I would highly recommend WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform because it is the best hosting option for the price.
As we use it to host the majority of our client websites reliably, it has very reliable customer support. With that, I would highly recommend it to other users and organizations if they want reliable hosting with a top-notch support platform.
Platform has reduced maintenance workloads and now needs stronger continuity and automation features
What is our primary use case?
Our main use case for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform was that we were using WordPress at the time, which is a previous tool or a previous suite, and we grew it into the next step of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, which is the next step platform-wise for hosting our environments for our customers' front end SaaS support services requirements.
The other key thing about our main use case or how we use WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is that it allowed us to condense it into a single platform versus how we had originally set up WordPress over a distributed platform that had a lot more overhead, maintenance-wise, and this helped us cut down our overall manpower workloads as we work with the platform.
How has it helped my organization?
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has positively impacted my organization because finally we have a tool that can go into infrastructure as a platform. That is a great value because with that we can basically adapt our learning curve. The learning curve, since we already knew WordPress, is lower for us in regards to bringing it over, but yet we have a product that could finally leave the server-based footprint and go into the infrastructure enterprise footprint cleanly and give us the ability to treat this as an infrastructure resource now.
Specific outcomes or metrics that show the positive impact of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform include improvements in efficiency because you scale it to a single platform that is scalable which is still a single platform. The cost savings is yet to be determined, but the improvements of management are clearly there. Plus, to scale from AWS to GCP or to do both together for a business continuity model is viable now and very important. When customers are getting these types of services, you have to have a system that performs better than simply falling back to a DR site. A business continuity model with WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform services would continue to operate even if you lost whole data centers, which is important from an operations perspective.
What is most valuable?
The best features WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform offers include consolidation, working toward automation with DevOps, and reducing the man-hour workloads while still offering a very flexible front end that follows the wiki strategies of WordPress, alongside offering content management and documentation support as well as the extended consolidated dashing or dashboard setup.
Out of those features, the one I think has had the biggest impact on my team is the reduction in maintenance time at the operations team level, as my team felt good that they did not have to work so much to maintain the environment, reducing it from an 18-hour window per year down to a four-hour window per year. That does add up when you add up every individual platform and helps reduce some of the operational stress in the environment. Furthermore, from the customer base perspective, they now had a front end with the ability of introduction wiki functionality for documentation and content management, which is that next logical step to go into in regards to working with AI, API calls, and background processing.
What needs improvement?
To improve WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, a crucial value would be that it has the ability to provide asynchronous or synchronous data synchronization with an alternate cloud provider location as part of its platform and/or a DR site. The principle right now is we are forced to use a backup and then that backup is restored in a DR environment and do a restore. It would be more efficient for us, as I stated earlier, using a business continuity model to have another platform at our DR site that runs alongside our production WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform site and is asynchronously synchronizing its data over on a constant basis. Thus, there is no loss of data, just a redirection of who is going to handle the data until the production environment is restored, which I think is a real value-add and crucial.
Another important aspect is better integration with DevOps and automation. Regarding needed improvements for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, I think there are grounds for WordPress to offer something called WebOps. WebOps is not your product, but more of a dashboard for all related web platforms. WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform would be a decent platform to consider this for because managing websites is an ongoing issue. When the customer is using WordPress for its front end, you could have hundreds of those websites out there needing management, and it would be beneficial to see a more consolidated approach. It does not matter what type of website web setup you have out there, but a collective WebOps that is agnostic of all products yet can support the websites and their telemetry and analyses would be great.

What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is that one of the most important things about any platform is to ensure that your core web code, which you plan to use, if it is HTTPS and so on, XML and other functionalities are reviewed tightly with the support components of a platform like WP Engine. This evaluation is where the problems will arise, and compatibility will be a driving force behind that. You want to be very careful to consider these evaluations to make sure that it meets your requirements. You do not want to have a tool that has features that can never be used because of the stack code in your web software and how your websites are set up. Therefore, you need a 100% match for this tool to be fully effective for your objectives.
Regarding WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform's AI capabilities, the governance and security compliance requirements were and are handled outside of WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform process. Our SecOps are driven by the protocols used by this tool, not the tool itself. We adhere to the best recommendations of the WordPress company about their internal security requirements that should be applied or best practices that should be upheld, but the governance and security of our environment is holistic and not specific to WordPress itself.
The accuracy and reliability of output from WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform's AI capabilities are still being developed and are not quite there yet, capabilities-wise, but the beginnings look promising. We know that there is still more needed because no vendor out there has their AI fully integrated, which means the AI is working within the subpart subfunctions of the tool itself yet, but it is getting there, and looking really good.
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is deployed in my organization in the cloud. In this case, we use AWS as our cloud provider. I purchased WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform through the AWS Marketplace. I do not think there are any other improvements needed for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform that we have not discussed. I would rate this solution a 7 out of 10.
Which deployment model are you using for this solution?
If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
Excellent Support and Easy Site Management
Reliable Hosting with Top-Notch Support
Platform has boosted site security, accelerated content updates, and improved mobile performance
What is our primary use case?
My main use case for WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is that we wanted a security suite that would allow us to manage plugins and WordPress core easily and having also a headless WordPress deployment, so we can decouple the WordPress deployments from the frameworks of JavaScript and other platforms as well.
A quick specific example of how I use WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform for this is that the WordPress ecosystem was included as an acquisition back to developer tool, and we have used advanced custom fields and offline development software. What was important is that the multi-environment workflow used only one-click staging and development environmental creation specifications implemented in a seamless integration.
Day-to-day, it was very important for us to have threat detection features and the daily backups of our websites because we had different projects that were integrated in WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, and also we wanted a service that cached the web pages so we would be able to do even faster changes and adaptations of the websites by bringing different features. With this solution, it was a great choice for us.
What is most valuable?
In my opinion, the best features WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform offers include the threat detection and the automated daily backups, which were some of the features that we liked, the block list management, and the WordPress core and plugin updates that were done through the smart plugin manager. The DDoS protection was also very useful, and the integrated caching layer capabilities of serving cached web pages under 100 milliseconds while handling massive concurrent traffic spikes without server crashes was something that was very helpful for us.
The feature I find myself relying on the most is the headless WordPress through Atlas, which was a great feature for us, as well as the security suite and multi-environmental workflow, the advanced developer ecosystems. All of these features helped not only the web developers but also us in digital marketing in updating our websites, creating content faster, and optimizing the applications so they would load on mobile devices to users in an instant.
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has positively impacted my organization with results regarding page speed optimizations where the average server response time was reduced from 360 milliseconds to 370 milliseconds globally, resulting in a dramatic improvement in the largest contentful paint and Web Core Vitals leading to SEO performance gains. Also, we had an almost 100% uptime with a 0% error rate during high traffic peaks, and we saw a reduction of 30 to 40% in site maintenance and development troubleshooting overall.
What needs improvement?
At this point, WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform has helped us tremendously, but there are a few tweaks that might be improved in the sense of dashboard optimizations and maybe the way the documentation is provided to the developers may be done through various platforms. Overall, I do not have any aspects that I think WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform could improve to any significant extent.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform for five years now.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is very stable. We had almost 100% uptime with a 0% error rate during high traffic peaks.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
We are not planning to scale WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform to other countries, but at this point, we are a pilot for the group.
How are customer service and support?
The customer support is flawless. They helped us tremendously when we needed their support.
How was the initial setup?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the implementation was very smooth, with a low to moderate complexity, very accessible for WordPress developers and agency teams we worked with. The subscription was easy to understand, and the pricing was very affordable for our company.
What was our ROI?
We have seen a return on investment, with an improvement in ROI of our organic leads by 5% in the last quarter, and there were also a few tens of hours reduced in terms of development during the last quarter as well.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the implementation was very smooth, with a low to moderate complexity, very accessible for WordPress developers and agency teams we worked with. The subscription was easy to understand, and the pricing was very affordable for our company.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
We evaluated other options before choosing WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform, including Pantheon and Cloudways.
What other advice do I have?
My advice to others looking into using WP Engine WordPress Digital Experience Platform is to evaluate other solutions as well and look first at their business objectives, their use cases, and compare them across different platforms to make a wise business decision. I would rate this product a 9 overall.
