Native FHIR support Provides the foundation to build powerful FHIR applications. The FHIR repository offers full read/write capabilities, receiving or sending FHIR resources via the FHIR RESTful API in JSON or XML formats. This allows applications built on the latest technologies to use FHIR data - new or mapped from legacy systems - for use in areas such as patient care, quality improvement or research.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that with InterSystems IRIS for Health, I can build an HL7 connection and then take that data to load it into an application that I view on a website hosted in an IRIS web application, all in one tool. It's really beneficial that object-oriented programming, a data persistence layer, SQL projection, and interoperability are all rolled into one product, which particularly helps with the interoperability layer. Setting it up is fairly easy provided the server is correctly configured. Our organization has helped several other organizations switch from their legacy engines to IRIS for Health.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their AI tools are getting better every day but not quite there yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InterSystems IRIS for Health integrates object-oriented programming, data persistence, SQL, and interoperability, helping us solve interoperability issues effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
There isn't anything that doesn't work well. The management portal is intuitive to use and allows you to easily monitor your productions. This helps to ensure successful integration between different systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation for methods is lacking in explanation of what they do, so you may have to read the underlying code. This can sometimes be quite difficult if the code uses a lot of abbreviations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for rapid successful data flow between multiple Healthcare systems. This reduces the time doctors need to take to receive information, which means they can spend more time caring for their patients.

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the 'easy to use' aspect of InterSystems IRIS for Health. I like the ability to process and route HL7 messages efficiently. Although it's initially a bit tricky to find everything, over time all the functions and features become easier to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though it's tough and robust, I think the UI could be a little more simple. Maybe to be more 'Modern' designed, and better readability. At first it's a bit difficult to understand where everything is located, but with the right time, all the functions and features it gets easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
InterSystems IRIS for Health solves major interoperability and data management problems, making these tasks less complex and time-consuming.
