Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract listing bills across three separate dimensions that you combine based on your usage. You pay per running pipeline instance per day, which scales with how many pipelines you operate. You also pay per GB of logs data indexed, which scales with your data volume. Cardinal Core is billed as its own unit. Each dimension is independent, so your cost reflects both how many pipelines run and how much log data you index. The software runs inside your own cloud environment, so infrastructure costs stay separate from these license charges.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one running pipeline instance for daily billing?
A pipeline instance is an ingestion and processing workflow running inside your cloud environment. You are charged for each active instance per calendar day. The charge scales with how many pipelines you operate at once, so idling or removing a pipeline reduces that day's count.
Which dimension drives most of my bill — pipelines or indexed log data?
Both charges apply at the same time and appear together. The per-GB indexed logs charge grows with your data volume, so it tends to dominate for high-ingest workloads. The per-pipeline daily charge grows with how many pipelines run. Cardinal Core bills as its own separate unit.
Does my software license charge cover the cloud infrastructure the product runs on?
No. The product runs entirely inside your own cloud environment. The Marketplace charges cover the software license only. You separately pay your cloud provider for object storage, metadata databases, and compute that scale with your usage. Those infrastructure costs stay outside these license dimensions.
