Reliable Data Exchange with Room for UI Improvement

    Reviewed on Nov 17, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Axway B2B Integration reliably manages secure data exchanges with our external partners. The software automates EDI transactions and file transfers, eliminating the need for manual effort. Its ability to handle these tasks efficiently ensures smooth data flow between our systems and those of our partners. I particularly value how everything just works once it's set up; the reliability of file transfers and partner connections is outstanding. Additionally, having the capability to easily track transactions and quickly identify issues is incredibly useful for maintaining operational continuity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface feels a bit outdated and can be confusing at times. Setting up new partners or protocols isn't always straightforward. A clearer setup guidance would go a long way. The initial setup wasn't the easiest, as getting all the partner connections and protocols set up took some time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Axway B2B Integration to automate secure data exchanges with partners, eliminating manual tracking and protocol issues while providing visibility when failures occur.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Axway B2B Integration is reliable and easy to work with. It handles partner connections smoothly, and the tracking makes it easy to see what’s going on. Overall, it just makes the whole process less stressful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the interface feels a bit outdated, and certain tasks take more steps than they should. It also has a bit of a learning curve in the beginning. Apart from that, it works fine once you get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Axway B2B Integration helps us manage partner data exchanges without constantly worrying about errors or delays. It keeps everything organized, automates a lot of the routine work, and makes it easier to track transactions. Because of that, we save time, avoid manual mistakes, and the whole process runs more smoothly.

Effortless Partner Communication and Automated Data Exchange

    Reviewed on Nov 17, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It handles partner communication and data exchange smoothly. Once configured, the system takes care of the file transfers, validations, and routing without manual intervention. Each transaction is able to trace what happened, where it went, and why something failed, which saves a lot of time.
Overall, it reduces the operational overhead.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Axway B2B Integration is the initial setup and configuration, which is a bit complex, especially when dealing with custom partner mappings or multiple protocols.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Axway B2B Integration helps to exchange data with different partners. Earlier, we used to do a lot of manual checks or use multiple tools. Now using this, it reduces time and takes less time to find errors.

Best EDI Integration Tool with Powerful Customization

    Reviewed on Nov 17, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Having worked with several integration tools such as Dell Boomi and IBM Sterling Integrator, I personally find Axway B2B Integration to be the best option for EDI integration among these three. It offers its own set of features, and I especially appreciate the ability to add custom functionality using JMC (Java code), which I find to be an excellent capability.
What do you dislike about the product?
The B2B UI is not user friendly. Also, Mapping Service tool lags a bit. At times, when loading mutiple maps, it just gives up on you. I am sure team is working on this to fix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The tool is useful for mapping between different data formats. For example, we receive data in X12 format and need to convert it into Idoc. It also supports a variety of connectivity protocols such as AS2 and SFTP, which makes it quite versatile. Overall, it covers all our requirements.

Robust EDI Platform with Powerful Features, but Steep Learning Curve

    Reviewed on Nov 16, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the end-to-end visibility that Axway B2B Integration provides, as it allows tracking of every document, partner flow, and error in real time, which immensely aids in troubleshooting, reducing downtime, and supporting SLAs. This feature significantly boosts productivity for both IT and business teams, as business teams can self-check order or invoice status without needing IT assistance. The strong protocol support stands out because it handles a wide variety of protocols like AS2, AS4, SFTP, OFTP, EDI, and APIs, which means I don’t have to rely on multiple tools or gateways, simplifying partner onboarding and eliminating compatibility issues. The reliable and secure nature of the platform, with guaranteed delivery, non-repudiation, encryption, and high uptime, ensures that documents are delivered exactly once, an essential need for industries like automotive, retail, finance, pharma, and manufacturing. The powerful mapping and transformation capabilities are exceptional due to the easy-to-use designer, which includes drag-and-drop interfaces, reusable mappings, and various logical rules that simplify the transformation of data between formats, making onboarding faster and cutting down mapping time significantly during changes in partner specifications. Partner onboarding is remarkably smooth with Axway's use of templates, automation, and self-service, effectively expediting the onboarding process from weeks to days by removing repetitive manual tasks. I also find the flexible deployment options beneficial as it can be run on-prem, in the cloud, or in a hybrid set-up, allowing enterprises to modernize B2B flows without disrupting current operations. Additionally, the strong security and compliance features, including encryption, certificates, role-based access control, and audit trails, greatly reduce compliance risks and make external audits easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the platform has a steep learning curve, as mapping, flows, and partner configuration can feel complex for new users. It requires skilled EDI/B2B engineers to maximize its benefits, and would greatly benefit from a more intuitive UI with better beginner guidance and simplified mapping steps. Some areas of the UI/UX feel outdated, with screens that look technical and navigationally heavy, especially in older versions, making it less accessible for business users. Additionally, the performance of the Mapping Studio can be sluggish with large, complex maps, necessitating restarts and being less smooth than modern IDEs for debugging. Partner onboarding still often needs a technical touch, demanding engineering time for complex setups despite automation. The process of upgrades and patches can be burdensome, requiring careful planning, potential downtime, and extensive testing effort. Although the documentation is extensive, it can be inconsistent across products and deep technical topics require navigating multiple references. Lastly, the cost structure is a concern, as the site’s enterprise-level power comes with steep pricing unsuitable for smaller companies, and extra features can add to the expense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Axway B2B Integration to automate EDI document exchange, ensuring secure delivery and real-time tracking. It centralizes communication, enhances partner onboarding, and mitigates compliance risks with strong security measures.
