Armorbytes Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 image provides hardened defaults mapped to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) control families such as secure configuration, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, and access control. Armorbyte is not affiliated with PCI SSC and this image by itself does not constitute PCI certification; it is intended as a prescriptive baseline to help reduce scope and accelerate audit readiness.
The baseline maps to the NIST CSF, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA, and other frameworks, giving teams a proven starting point toward compliance without the usual DIY effort.

Usage instructions
Allow inbound SSH access in your security group (TCP port 22) To connect to your instance using the Amazon EC2 console: Open the Amazon EC2 console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/ .
In the navigation pane, choose Instances.
Select the instance and choose Connect. Choose the EC2 Instance Connect tab. For Connection type, choose Connect using EC2 Instance Connect. Access the ec2 with the default username: ec2-user
