This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and OS-level hardening by Blume in line with ACSC Essential Eight compliance. The ACSC Essential Eight Oracle Linux 9 AMI delivers a compliance-ready operating system with security controls mapped to the Australian Cyber Security Centre's baseline mitigation strategies.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ACSC Essential Eight compliance, which defines the baseline set of mitigation strategies recommended by the Australian Cyber Security Centre to protect systems against common cyber threats. These controls include application whitelisting, patching applications and operating systems, restricting administrative privileges, implementing multi-factor authentication, and other key strategies that strengthen overall system security.
By delivering an OS image aligned with ACSC Essential Eight, organizations can accelerate compliance efforts and improve their security posture without needing to manually configure and audit the baseline themselves.
Achieving ACSC compliance matters because it ensures that your operating system is built against recognized Australian government security standards, reducing vulnerabilities, strengthening resilience against attacks, and meeting regulatory or industry mandated governance requirements.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. The product is one hardened Oracle Linux 9 image with seller support, billed through usage. Pricing is not organized into tiers or feature levels. Instead, each line in the table maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, and the hourly rate changes with the instance you choose. Larger instances with more compute, memory, or storage carry higher rates, while smaller instances carry lower ones. You select the instance that fits your workload, and billing follows the hours that instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly charge actually cover on this listing?
Each hourly charge covers one running EC2 instance using the hardened Oracle Linux 9 image with seller support included. The rate reflects the specific instance type you launch. One instance running for one hour equals one billed unit. Running several instances bills each one separately for the hours it runs.
Am I charged the software rate when an instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software rate meters running time only. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue the software charge. Underlying AWS infrastructure fees, such as storage attached to a stopped instance, may still apply separately. Billing resumes when you start the instance again.
Does the seller support included in the hourly rate cover my wider deployment or just the image?
Support covers the Oracle Linux 9 image configuration and its hardening mapped to ACSC Essential Eight controls. It does not certify that your deployed workload or wider environment is compliant or authorized. For help, contact the seller with the listing ID, region, instance architecture, and OS version.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your Oracle Linux 9 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your Oracle Linux 9 instance via SSH.
