If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run this Django server on. The software itself carries an hourly software fee, added to the AWS infrastructure cost for your chosen instance. Pricing scales with the instance you pick. Smaller instances like t3.micro and t2.small suit light workloads. Larger compute, memory, storage, and GPU instances such as c5.24xlarge, r5.metal, and p4d.24xlarge cost more per hour to match heavier demands. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, so cost tracks actual usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for each hourly instance charge on this listing?
Each charge maps to one running EC2 virtual machine of the size you pick, preloaded with the Django server on Ubuntu 24.04. Instance families differ by compute, memory, storage, and GPU. For example, t-series suit light workloads, while r-series add memory and p-series add GPUs. You choose one instance type per deployment.
Am I charged when my Django instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software fee meters only the hours the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. Underlying AWS storage attached to a stopped instance may still incur AWS fees, but the Django software licence bills running time only.
How do the software fee and AWS infrastructure cost combine on my bill?
Two charges apply together for the same running instance. One is the hourly software fee for the Django server. The other is the AWS cost for the EC2 instance you selected. Both scale with the instance size and the hours it runs, appearing on the same invoice.
