This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and advanced OS hardening by Blume in line with ANSSI compliance. The ANSSI High Level CentOS 9 AMI delivers a compliance-ready, security-hardened operating system built for stability and assurance in production environments.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and advanced operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ANSSI compliance at the level you select - whether High Level or Minimal Level. The High Level configuration provides maximum security reinforcement for production environments handling sensitive workloads, while the Minimal Level configuration balances essential compliance requirements with performance flexibility.
The Agence Nationale de la Securite des Systemes dInformation ANSSI is the French National Cybersecurity Agency, responsible for defining and maintaining strict guidelines for securing information systems. Its recommended hardening guidelines establish a baseline of security controls designed to minimize vulnerabilities and enforce system integrity.
Minimal Level hardening applies a core set of baseline controls that improve operating system security while maintaining flexibility and compatibility across a wide range of environments.
High Level hardening applies the most stringent set of controls, focusing on maximum resilience and compliance for environments where security assurance is critical.
Achieving ANSSI compliance matters because it ensures that your operating system is configured against recognized security baselines, reducing vulnerabilities, strengthening resilience against attacks, and meeting regulatory or industry mandated governance standards. With Blumes hardening, you can trust that your OS is built to align with strict compliance expectations from the start.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.
Highlights
Blume has been established since 2020 and is a trusted brand relied upon by many large corporations for secure and compliant solutions.
This AMI is updated and compliance-ready out of the box, requiring no additional configuration steps to meet ANSSI standards.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the ARM-based (Graviton) EC2 instance type you run. Each dimension maps to one instance size, so pricing scales with the compute, memory, and storage you select. Smaller shared types like t4g.nano cost less per hour, while large and bare-metal types like c8g.metal-48xl cost more. General-purpose (m), compute (c), memory (r, x), storage (i, is4gen, im4gn), and graphics (g5g) families are all available. You run the same hardened CentOS 9 image mapped to ANSSI BP-028 High Level controls regardless of which instance you choose. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually get for the hourly charge beyond the EC2 instance?
You get a CentOS 9 ARM image with operating-system hardening mapped to ANSSI BP-028 High Level controls, plus seller support from Blume. The hourly rate covers this software and support layer. Underlying AWS compute and storage are billed separately by AWS.
Am I charged the software fee when an instance is stopped?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A stopped or terminated instance does not accrue the software fee. Any attached storage may still incur separate AWS storage charges while the instance is stopped, but those are billed by AWS, not under this software rate.
Does the listing cover only ARM instance types, and can I run x86 workloads?
This listing supports ARM-based (Graviton) instance types only, matching the arm64 CentOS 9 image. To run x86_64 workloads, you would need the matching x86_64 ANSSI BP-028 High Level CentOS 9 listing instead, which is a separate offer.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your CentOS 9 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your CentOS 9 instance via SSH.
