AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour for the running server. Billing is usage-based, so charges track the hours each instance runs. The price you pay depends on which GPU instance size you pick. Options fall into two GPU families: g4dn instances and g4ad instances. Within each family, sizes scale from xlarge up through larger multi-xlarge and metal configurations. Larger sizes provide more compute, memory, and GPU resources and carry higher hourly rates. You select one instance type to match your workload. The software adds the maintenance support and the Ubuntu 22 server on top of the underlying hardware.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the g4dn and g4ad instance families differ by for my hourly bill?
Both families run on GPU-enabled hardware. The g4dn family uses one GPU vendor's hardware, while g4ad uses a different vendor's GPU. Your hourly rate depends on the family and size you select. Pick the family that matches your graphics or compute workload, then choose a size within it.
Am I charged when the server instance is stopped or powered off?
Charges track running hours. The software meters time while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing software charges. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply for stopped instances that retain disk volumes. To avoid all software charges, stop the instance when it is not in use.
What does one hour of billing actually include beyond the raw GPU hardware?
Each hour covers the running instance plus the Ubuntu 22 server and maintenance support layered on top. The vendor's managed support includes patching, OS updates, and monitoring of the environment. You pay one hourly rate that bundles the instance software with these services for the size you select.
