Dimensions summary
You pay only for what you use, billed hourly across independent monitoring dimensions. Application and Database vCPU dimensions charge per CPU core. Server Hosts and Database Hosts charge per virtual machine. Kubernetes billing splits into standard Containers and Application Containers, which add a charge when application monitoring runs inside a container. Browser Sessions bill per session tracked. Ingested Logs bill in blocks of 25,000. Each dimension scales with your usage, so you can combine only the ones you need. A custom dimension supports private offers negotiated with the vendor.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A session covers the period from page entry to page exit. It lasts up to 4 hours. It ends after 15 minutes with no interaction with the web page. If you return after 15 minutes, that counts as a new session.
Every container bills as one standard Container per hour. If application monitoring runs inside a container, that container also bills as an Application Container. So an instrumented container adds both charges. Containers without application monitoring bill only at the standard Container rate.
Logs bill in blocks of 25,000 per hour. One log unit means one log event held for one day. Cost rises with both daily log volume and retention length, up to 40 days. Longer retention multiplies the same daily volume charge across each retained day.
