You pay by the hour for Fedora 41 with vendor support, packaged as an Amazon Machine Image. Pricing follows the EC2 instance type you choose to run it on. Each dimension maps to one instance size, from small shared types like t3.nano and m1.small up to metal and high-memory types like u7in-32tb.224xlarge. Rates rise with the compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity of the instance. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment. Select the instance size that matches your workload to control your cost.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly rate cover, and what does it not include?
The hourly rate covers the Fedora 41 software with vendor support, delivered as an Amazon Machine Image. It does not include the underlying EC2 compute charge, which AWS bills separately. Your invoice combines the software fee for your chosen instance type with the standard AWS infrastructure cost.
Am I charged the software fee when my instance is stopped?
The hourly software fee meters running time only. Stopped or terminated instances do not accrue software charges. You may still see AWS storage fees for attached volumes on a stopped instance, but those are separate from the Fedora 41 software rate.
How is the rate set when I choose a larger instance type?
Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, and the software rate is fixed per type. Moving to a type with more compute, memory, storage, or GPU capacity applies that type's rate for every hour it runs. There is no separate scaling charge beyond the per-hour rate.
