What does the hourly rate cover, and what runs on the instance I choose?
The rate covers the hardened Fedora 40 image running on the EC2 instance type you select. Each rate is billed per instance-hour. The image ships with the latest updates. You still pay the underlying AWS compute and storage charges separately from this software rate.
Am I charged when my instance is stopped or powered off?
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly software rate. Underlying AWS storage fees may still apply to attached volumes. Billing resumes automatically when you start the instance again.
Does the hourly rate change if I switch to a larger or specialized instance type?
Yes. Each EC2 instance type maps to its own hourly rate. Moving to a larger memory, compute, GPU, storage, or bare-metal instance applies that instance's rate. The software itself is identical across all types. You control cost by matching instance size to your workload.

The development of application using the Fedora plugin sometime shows minor conflict and those conflicts are hard to manage with real application, But its a very supportive tool.

Usually I prefer to use developer tools when my client requests for that, But yes the development using this Operating System is Best because of a huge community support

Although Fedora is not the most useful Linux-based operating system, it is pretty simple to install. There are also no large installation iso files.
