Powerful DevOps Platform with Strong Security and Full SDLC Coverage

    Reviewed on Jun 18, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It’s a very good DevOps platform tool. We can maintain and deploy code easily, and it automatically builds, tests, and deploys. It also has very strong security and provides complete SDLC coverage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any dislikes to mention; overall, the tool is very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With a single platform, we can manage code, CI/CD, security, and project activities. The built-in CI/CD pipelines automate much of the workflow. It also provides merge requests, issue tracking, and better collaboration across the team.

Powerful AI Code Review with Great VSCode Autocomplete and Customizable GitLab Integrations

    Reviewed on Jun 17, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The new AI features, especially the autocomplete for VSCode really blend well with other AI tools and really speed up the development. The UI is neat, I love the ability to check the reviewed file and the fact that it will uncheck when a change is pushed. We've built custom integration for Gitlab, the API and the documentation really make this platform a powerful, customizable tool to achieve all of our complex needs. For the price, it is hard to go elsewhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the UI is buggy and the data is not refreshed correctly, I have to manually refresh the page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps organize our monorepo, keep a clean history of the code, write code review and plug in QA envs and CI/CD

Unified Interface That Streamlines the Entire DevOps Lifecycle

    Reviewed on Jun 14, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
The biggest upside is having a single, unified interface that covers the entire project lifecycle. Being able to move from issue tracking straight into repository management, and then directly into CI/CD pipelines without ever leaving the application, really reduces friction. It also drastically simplifies toolchain complexity and centralizes visibility, which is especially helpful in large environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model can be a drawback, since many advanced enterprise features like deep security scanning, vulnerability management, and certain compliance controls are locked behind the highest-priced tiers. As a result, scaling full DevSecOps practices across a team or organization can become expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab addresses the challenges of decentralized infrastructure management. We moved from manually tracking scripts to a fully version-controlled CI/CD pipeline. With this unified approach, deployment times for server configurations have dropped significantly, and every change is clearly documented, tested, and kept secure.

All-in-One DevOps Platform That Streamlines CI/CD and Collaboration

    Reviewed on May 30, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about GitLab is how it brings the entire DevOps workflow into one platform. From source code management and branching to CI/CD pipelines and issue tracking, everything is centralized, which makes collaboration much easier. I especially find the built-in CI/CD pipelines very useful because they automate testing and deployments directly from the repository, reducing manual effort and speeding up delivery. The merge request workflow also helps with better code review and team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about GitLab is that it can feel a bit complex at times, especially when setting up CI/CD pipelines or managing advanced configurations. The flexibility is great, but it also means there’s a learning curve before everything works smoothly. I also find that the interface can feel slightly heavy or cluttered when working across multiple projects, which sometimes slows down navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab solves the problem of fragmented development workflows by bringing source control, CI/CD, issue tracking, and collaboration into a single platform. This benefits me because I don’t need to switch between multiple tools to manage the full development lifecycle. I can handle code reviews, automate builds and deployments, and track issues in one place, which improves efficiency and reduces context switching. It also makes collaboration smoother since the entire team works within the same system.
