What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about GitLab is how it brings the entire DevOps workflow into one platform. From source code management and branching to CI/CD pipelines and issue tracking, everything is centralized, which makes collaboration much easier. I especially find the built-in CI/CD pipelines very useful because they automate testing and deployments directly from the repository, reducing manual effort and speeding up delivery. The merge request workflow also helps with better code review and team collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about GitLab is that it can feel a bit complex at times, especially when setting up CI/CD pipelines or managing advanced configurations. The flexibility is great, but it also means there’s a learning curve before everything works smoothly. I also find that the interface can feel slightly heavy or cluttered when working across multiple projects, which sometimes slows down navigation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab solves the problem of fragmented development workflows by bringing source control, CI/CD, issue tracking, and collaboration into a single platform. This benefits me because I don’t need to switch between multiple tools to manage the full development lifecycle. I can handle code reviews, automate builds and deployments, and track issues in one place, which improves efficiency and reduces context switching. It also makes collaboration smoother since the entire team works within the same system.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about GitLab is that it provides an all-in-one DevOps platform where I can manage code, CI/CD pipelines, issue changes, code reviews, and security scanning. GitLab also helps me push code from my local environment to staging and production. It supports different stages, such as build, our company environment stage, and production, and it improves security by scanning the code.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have any major dislikes about GitLab; it’s a good product overall.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab solves problems related to software development collaboration, code management, CI/CD automation, and deploying code to different stages more easily. For me, it addresses the difficulty of managing code across different teams and keeping everyone aligned. Overall, GitLab helps solve the major challenge of organizing development work in one place and making the process smoother from code changes through deployment, which benefits me by reducing confusion and improving coordination.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that GitLab is easy to use and has a more flowy UI that's not cluttered with unnecessary features. I also appreciate using GitLab to check code diffs, deployment status, and receiving alerts about failed or successful deployments, as well as viewing deployment logs. Additionally, the initial setup of GitLab was easy enough, especially since the setup portion was documented.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to switch between organizations. Repository search can be a little chaotic sometimes and the entire codebase search even more so. Better filters there would make it streamlined. When searching for a function or string, it would be helpful to specify the parent function, the return type of the function containing that string, or the parameter signature of the parent function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use GitLab for running automated CI/CD pipelines and providing a shared repository space for code collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab has got a user friendly interface which makes our tasks easier, they provide instructions to work with our code easing the task of pushing and pulling into repos, further they offer wide range of APIs which help us in the integration with various softwares for example recently I have developed a fastApi application to integrate gitlab with basecamp and these APIs got very beneficial
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s only one thing that really needs to be fixed: each individual project has its own webhooks option. I think it would be better if there were a parent project, under which all the sub-projects could sit, so that webhooks could be managed in one place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This platform provides a safe container to store our codes under the safe repos, they offer indication with titles which help in identifying the version of code and makes our work easier, further the integration part using APIs is very smooth and offer wide uses.
