Colrows is the autonomous semantic layer for enterprise AI. It resolves business metrics into governed, dialect-perfect SQL at compile time, giving every AI agent, copilot, and analyst a single, trusted source of business truth. Works with Redshift, Athena, and all major warehouses. No rip-and-replace.
Colrows is an autonomous semantic layer - a deterministic semantic compiler that resolves business logic before any query reaches your data warehouse.
Unlike traditional BI tools that interpret meaning at presentation time, Colrows formalizes business semantics at compile time. Every query passes through four deterministic stages:
Semantic Binding: Symbolic references - metrics, dimensions, entities - are resolved against a versioned dependency graph. If a symbol cannot be resolved uniquely under the requesting persona's scope, compilation fails. No guess, no approximation.
Join Path Proof: When a metric spans multiple datasets, Colrows mathematically proves the existence of a valid, deterministic join path using constrained graph traversal. Ambiguous paths cause compilation failure.
Policy Enforcement: RBAC, ABAC, Row-Level Security, and Column-Level Security policies are applied to the semantic subgraph before any SQL is generated, not filtered post-query.
Dialect-Perfect SQL Generation: Colrows generates warehouse-specific SQL optimised for your engine: Redshift, Athena, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Trino, and 12+ others, without any semantic leakage.
The result: the same business question always returns the same answer, every time, to every agent, with a complete audit trail.
How It Works with AWS
Colrows is designed to complement your existing AWS data stack:
Amazon Redshift: Connect Colrows as the semantic control plane above Redshift. All queries are compiled and governed before execution. No changes to your Redshift setup required.
Amazon Athena: Colrows generates Presto/Trino-compatible SQL for Athena workloads, with full metric governance applied upstream.
Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL): Universal connectors support RDS-hosted databases as part of the semantic graph, including cross-source join path resolution.
Amazon S3 / Glue Catalog: Colrows can read schema metadata from Glue Data Catalog to seed the autonomous semantic graph.
AWS IAM: Colrows integrates with IAM roles for authentication and supports VPC-based deployment for network isolation.
AWS KMS: Encryption at rest is supported via KMS-managed keys.
Amazon CloudWatch: Colrows emits metrics and logs compatible with CloudWatch for operational monitoring
Colrows does not replicate your data. It sits above your warehouse, compiles semantics, and passes governed SQL down. Your data stays in your environment.
The Autonomous Semantic Graph
Most semantic layers require engineers to manually define and maintain metrics, dimensions, and relationships. This creates a different kind of debt: the semantic layer becomes outdated, engineers spend cycles on maintenance, and coverage never keeps pace with the business.
Colrows is autonomous. It continuously crawls your connected sources:
Databases and data warehouses: schema, relationships, data profiles
Confluence and internal wikis: business definitions, policies, domain knowledge
Existing BI reports and dashboards
User query feedback and interaction logs
From these sources, Colrows builds and maintains a living semantic graph, automatically detecting schema drift, updating entity definitions, and flagging conflicts before they reach production.
Every change creates a new versioned semantic state rather than overwriting prior definitions. This enables point-in-time reproducibility: any historical query can be re-executed and proven to have used the correct business definitions at that exact moment.
Enterprise Governance Built In
Colrows treats governance as a structural property of the system, not a layer added afterward.
RBAC and ABAC: Role-based and attribute-based access controls are applied at the semantic subgraph level. Different users see different views of the same metric depending on their role, team, region, or any custom attribute.
Row-Level Security (RLS): Row filters are applied during semantic compilation, not post-execution. Agents cannot access rows they are not authorised to see
Column-Level Security (CLS): Sensitive columns are masked or excluded based on persona scope, with maskings defined once and enforced everywhere.
Full Audit Trail: Every query, every metric resolution, every policy application is logged with full attribution. Exportable for regulatory review.
Versioned Semantic States: No definition is ever overwritten. Every state is recoverable. Every historical query is reproducible.

Highlights
Deterministic semantic compilation for enterprise AI - Business metrics, entity relationships, and access policies are compiled into governed SQL before any query reaches your data warehouse. The same question always returns the same answer, with a full audit trail.
Works with Amazon Redshift, Athena, RDS, and 16+ SQL engines - Colrows connects to your existing AWS data stack via universal connectors. No data replication, no rip-and-replace. Add a governed semantic layer above what you already have.
Autonomous semantic graph - no manual maintenance - Colrows continuously crawls your databases, Confluence, BI reports, and user feedback to build and maintain a living semantic model. Schema drift is detected automatically before it causes conflicting AI answers
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You buy Colrows through a single usage dimension: the Colrows Consumption Token. This is a usage-based meter, so your cost tracks how much you consume rather than a fixed seat or server count. You draw down tokens as you use the platform, and your total scales with that consumption. There are no separate tiers, instance sizes, or add-on line items in this listing. Billing is metered against token units alone.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one Colrows Consumption Token represent for billing?
A Consumption Token is the unit of metered use on the platform. Each query, which includes compiling, executing, and auditing, draws down a small amount of tokens. The amount consumed depends on query complexity and result size. More complex queries use more tokens.
How does my token usage change as query volume or complexity grows?
Your token draw increases with each query you run. More complex queries and larger result sets consume more tokens per request. Cost tracks total consumption, so heavier query workloads draw down tokens faster than light ones. There are no seat or server charges added.
Am I charged for users or infrastructure on top of tokens?
No. Billing meters token consumption only. Unlimited users and multiple data sources are included, and there is no per-user or per-server charge in this listing. Your cost reflects how much you query, not headcount or how you architect your deployment.
