Planning

Every project has a dedicated delivery manager to ensure a successful project outcome. All projects begin with a collaborative workshop to fully understand and define the business/technical challenges, requirements/needs, milestones, success metrics, and critical risks/opportunities of the project. Our projects utilize a combination of agile and lean methodology to allow for continuous improvement and constant iteration in the planning process to ensure value is constantly being created. Weekly events include Daily Standups, Ceremony, Backlog Refinement, Technical Refinement. Our project-centric approach allows us to switch to other methods including extreme programming if the project requires it. This approach enables aleios to work on projects at any stage of the project lifecycle.

Set-up and Migration

Aleios extensive cloud knowledge enables us to work on traditional migration, language migration, structural migration, and cloud modernization migration projects. Our experienced and accredited cloud architects evaluate your business and technical requirements creating a robust roadmap for migration. Our designs are efficient and cost-effective as we consider any external dependencies while also taking steps to mitigate risk. Our iterative approach allows us to continuously migrate the most important pieces of functionality while also developing new functionalities as needed.

Quality assurance

Our developers will establish a standard with the customer for quality and performance and set up continuous and integrated testing to ensure we are hitting these standards. Aleios has a proprietary list of fourteen quality assurance checks that projects are measured against on a weekly basis. To ensure quality code, Aleios has developed an open source tool kit to test AWS cloud serverless code (SLS-Test tools). In addition, where appropriate aleios uses automated unit testing, integration tests, and end-to-end testing. Each client will determine what their “definition of done” is to ensure our work is always meeting their expectations.

Training

Aleios can provide training on methodology for best-conducting migration projects, as well as training on specific technical elements of the migration. These can be conducted as in-person workshops or remotely. Every training plan is unique to the projects and to the client's needs to ensure a maximum transfer of relevant knowledge. Our approaches include peer-to-peer support, mentoring, paired roles, succession planning, on-the-job coaching, design walkthroughs, and Q&A sessions. Training includes workshops on our in-house developed open-source cloud infrastructure testing tool kit.
