    my view on SQL server

What do you like best about the product?
From my experience, Microsoft SQL Server 2017 Web on Windows Server 2019 offers a solid balance between performance and cost for web applications. I’ve found it particularly effective for small to medium-sized projects where you need reliable speed and good scalability without overspending.
What do you dislike about the product?
While it’s great for basic web applications, you miss out on advanced features like SQL Server Agent for scheduling and certain performance optimizations that are available in the Standard or Enterprise editions. I’ve also found the licensing model a bit restrictive since it's tailored specifically for web hosting, which can limit flexibility if your needs grow beyond that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Web edition includes enough features to manage data, maintain reliability, and ensure security without the complexity or cost of higher-tier editions. By running on Windows Server 2019, it also benefits from modern server features, making deployments smoother and easier to manage.

Works fine and meet basic expectations

What do you like best about the product?
One of the most important reasons for using this SQL server is that it provides seamless integration with the codebase. Easy to extract databases, supports most of the programming languages and the user interface is also very easy to interact with.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the major drawbacks is that it is not very compatible with Windows 11. Initially, it works fine but eventually SQL server takes a large chunk of memory which as a result makes the overall system slow. As the database size increases it leads to an increase in retrieval time and even hangs sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration with applications is very smooth, programming language support is vast and for an average size of database, data manipulation is extremely easy to do.

    Does the work

What do you like best about the product?
I think that the best part is that it is compatible with any programming language you use. I have used SQL Server 2017 with Java, .NET and C#. A very good data management tool which helps you to store, retrieve, modify and delete records in the DBMS. The SQL queries used are also very easy to learn. The software is very easy to install and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Storage is the biggest problem. The SQL Server takes up a lot of memory space, by which the system becomes extremely slow. Another concern is about a technical issue we faced, but the free customer support was not adequate, so we had to go for the paid support. Other than that, no other issues so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The performance is quite good, connection with other apps and other languages is also very easy. Data modification using APIs is also very convenient. Development is easily done by incorporating SQL Server in our projects.
