    Melanoma cells can spread through the lymphatic system or bloodstream to distant organs. The exact cause of metastasis is not fully understood, but factors that may increase the risk include: Ultraviolet (UV) radiation exposure, Fair skin and light hair, Family history of melanoma, and Multiple or atypical mole. Metastatic melanoma is a type of skin cancer that has spread from its original site to other parts of the body, such as the lymph nodes, lungs, liver, brain, or bones.

    Symptoms of metastatic melanoma can vary depending on where the cancer has spread, but may include: New or changing skin lesions, Swollen or painful lymph nodes, Cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain (if the lungs are affected), Headaches, seizures, or confusion (if the brain is affected), Bone pain (if the bones are affected), Fatigue. Treatment for metastatic melanoma depends on the stage of the cancer, where it has spread, and your overall health. Options may include: Surgery: To remove the primary tumor and any visible metastases, Chemotherapy: To kill cancer cells, Immunotherapy: To help your body's immune system fight cancer, Targeted therapy: To block specific proteins that promote cancer growth, Radiation therapy: To shrink or destroy cancer cells in specific area.

    Metastatic Melanoma on Immunotherapy and outcomes. Initial PET has DX of Metastatic Melanoma. Need type of Immunotherapy, dosages, duration of therapy, follow up PET after start of treatment, 3 to 6 month outcomes, stable, or progressive disease, adverse affects during treatment and death outcome.
