Overview

Use our service to receive insights on satellite or custom aerial imagery to assess the dynamics of natural resources, including forests, wetlands, and marine ecosystems. Leveraging advanced techniques such as unsupervised ML clustering analysis, color composite imaging, scalar index calculations, principal component analysis (PCA), soil moisture monitoring, and digital elevation model (DEM) analysis, our service provides comprehensive insights into environmental parameters and changes over time.

The unsupervised clustering analysis performs per-pixel analysis and unsupervised classification of raster satellite imagery within predefined regions of interest (ROIs). This technique detects surface objects with similar geophysical properties to form clusters, enabling the identification of spatial patterns and anomalies. Available for radar remote sensing imagery (Sentinel-1, TerraSAR-X) and multispectral optical remote sensing imagery (Sentinel-2, ASTER, Landsat-8), this analysis facilitates the detection of environmental changes and the monitoring of natural resources.

Color composite images, created through color composite single and color composite pair techniques, complement the analysis by providing visual representations of complex data. These images aid in intuitive interpretation and communication of findings to stakeholders, highlighting features such as vegetation health, land cover variations, and water bodies. Available for multiple satellite platforms, including Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2, these composite images offer valuable insights into environmental dynamics and changes over time.

Scalar indices, derived from predefined band arithmetic expressions, provide quantitative measures of environmental parameters such as vegetation health, soil moisture, and geological characteristics. By analyzing spectral signatures captured by satellite sensors (e.g., Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, ASTER), these indices enable the assessment of land surface properties and the detection of environmental stressors, from radar vegetation indices to normalized difference water indices.

Principal component analysis (PCA), a dimensionality reduction method, transforms original variables into uncorrelated principal components, capturing most variability in the data. Resulting channels from PCA can be utilized for complex geoanalytic datasets, creating RGB composites for distinguishing urban areas, vegetation, and water bodies. Available for ASTER L1T, Sentinel-2, and WorldView-3 satellite products, PCA facilitates efficient analysis and visualization of large-scale environmental datasets.

Soil moisture monitoring, facilitated by the Soil Moisture Index (oRVI) and time-series analysis, enables the examination of soil moisture dynamics over time. By analyzing multi-temporal SAR data (Sentinel-1) for selected Areas of Interest (AOIs), this monitoring technique supports effective agricultural and environmental management practices.

Digital elevation model (DEM) analysis enables the calculation of partial and cumulative differences between DEMs, creation of DEM stacks with varied resolutions, and assessment of time series and volume changes. Digital elevation model (DEM) analysis has the following use cases for Natural Resource Management and Conservation Service: Habitat Monitoring, Watershed Management, Forest Conservation, Land Use Planning, Climate Change Adaptation, Wildlife Corridor Preservation, Ecosystem Restoration.

Our comprehensive suite of analytical techniques and data processing capabilities empower you to gain actionable insights into natural resource management and conservation efforts, facilitating informed decision-making and sustainable environmental practices.

Finally, the processed data is delivered in a user-friendly format: multiband RGB orthomosaics, digital elevation models, and raster index files in full resolution as GeoTIFF files suitable for further analysis or visualization or as reports in PDF documents. Another, more interactive, option includes combining this service with an interactive online SaaS platform for Visualization of EOD, where we provide an interactive visualization solution equipped with all the necessary tools that allow you to easily find, explore, and interact with the public and your private analyzed data. Our intuitive AI powered and natural human language based user interface enables you to easily find your data and reports, visualize complex trends, discover hidden patterns, and identify hard to spot anomalies, empowering you to make informed decisions quickly and deliver actionable insights. The access to the online platform may be ordered as an option (billed monthly). A 10% discount is applicable for annual subscriptions.
