Unstract is a document intelligence platform that converts unstructured documents into structured data your systems can use.
It works in three stages: parsing, extraction, and deployment.
Document Parsing
Unstract reads PDFs, scanned images, forms, and documents with mixed layouts, then converts them into clean, machine-readable text.
Reads PDFs, scanned images, forms, and documents in unseen layouts and supports 300+ languages.
Preserves tables, columns, and key-value pairs so layout reaches the extraction stage intact.
Handles low-quality scans and dense files without manual cleanup.
Reaches up to 99.9% extraction accuracy across supported document types.
Document Data Extraction
Teams describe the fields they need in plain language. Unstract uses large language models to interpret the parsed content and return structured output ready for databases, applications, and downstream workflows.
Define extraction logic in plain language, with no template setup or labeled training data.
Interprets varied and unseen layouts, so a new vendor format needs no new rules.
Supports a wide range of LLMs
Drives 7x token cost savings and a 20x improvement in operational efficiency.
Deployment
Once an extraction is defined, you can put it into production as an API your applications call directly, or run it across batches of documents as a pipeline.
Ship extraction logic as an API your applications call directly.
Run documents in batches as an ETL pipeline for high-volume processing.
Add Human Quality Review at checkpoints such as high-value contracts or regulated records.
Cuts manual work by 90% and reaches 90%+ straight-through processing.
Common use-cases:
Insurance claims intake
Loan and mortgage document review
Bank statement and financial document analysis
KYC and customer onboarding
Contract and agreement data extraction
Patient and healthcare record processing
Invoice and accounts payable processing
Highlights
Prompt Studio: no-code environment to write extraction prompts that hold up across document variants, define your output schema, and compare results and cost from multiple LLMs side by side.
Agentic Prompt Studio: AI agents read your documents, infer the schema, generate prompts, run extractions, and validate accuracy against verified outputs.
Human in the Loop: route low-confidence or high-stakes fields to reviewers and approvers for verification, keeping control over what flows downstream.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract charges you based on the number of document pages you process. You commit to a base block of 500,000 pages, billed per processed page. If you process more than your committed volume, extra pages are billed at the overage per page rate. The two dimensions work together: the committed page block covers your expected volume, and the overage rate handles anything beyond it. You are charged only for pages that process successfully.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one page for billing?
One page equals one physical page of a document. A 10-page PDF is 10 pages. A single image counts as one page. Multi-page scanned files, like TIFFs, count each frame as a separate page.
What happens if I process more than my committed 500,000 pages?
You can keep processing without cut-offs or throttling. Pages beyond your committed block are billed at the overage per page rate. The two dimensions bill together: your committed block covers expected volume, and the overage rate applies only to pages above it.
Am I charged for pages that fail to process?
No. If a page cannot process due to a technical error on the vendor's end, such as a timeout, service issue, or an unreadable file, you are not charged. You pay only for pages that process successfully, even if output quality is not perfect.
