    An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

    First create an EC2 instance with this AMI. Next, visit http://<instance_ip>/openmrs in order to go through the initial guided OpenMRS configuration.

    Follow the instructions on the page - you will be able to choose a type of installation based on your needs. They will require you to provide a password for MySQL which is by default your unique EC2 Instance ID assigned during creation. During use these credentials - User: Admin, Password: <instance id>, where instance id is again the ID of the EC2 instance.

    After you finish the initial setup, you are free to start using OpenMRS according to your needs.
