AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you choose to run Apache Guacamole. The 20 options span several instance families and sizes. Smaller shared-CPU types like c7a.medium, t3a.medium, and t2.large fit lighter workloads. Larger types like m4.10xlarge and m4.16xlarge carry more compute for heavier use. Your hourly rate rises with the instance's compute and memory capacity. This usage-based model has no upfront commitment, so you scale cost up or down by selecting a different instance size. Each option includes 24/7 support from the Hossted Platform.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the hourly instance charges cover beyond the compute itself?
Each hourly rate bundles the running EC2 instance with Apache Guacamole and the Hossted Platform. You get 24/7 support, continuous security scans, and a control dashboard to manage the deployment. The software charge meters running instance time; underlying AWS resources bill through your AWS account separately.
Am I charged when the Apache Guacamole instance is stopped or paused?
The software charge meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly software charges. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, billed through your AWS account. To stop all software charges, terminate or stop the running instance.
How do I move to a different instance size if my workload changes?
You select the instance size when you launch, and the hourly rate matches that choice. To change compute capacity, run a different instance type from the 20 options. There is no upfront commitment, so switching sizes changes only your hourly rate going forward.

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
