This listing uses a single contract-based pricing dimension called "dave.io - Ready to Build (Units)." You buy in units, and the quantity you select determines your total cost. There are no separate tiers or instance sizes to choose between. Each unit represents access to the AI-native cloud engineering platform, where AI agents handle routine DevOps tasks under human oversight. To scale, you adjust the number of units purchased. Pricing does not vary by feature set, since this is one flat unit-based option.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one unit of the Ready to Build platform actually cover?
Each unit represents access to the AI-native cloud engineering platform. An AI agent handles routine DevOps tasks under human oversight, including deployments, monitoring alerts, and config changes within set guardrails. A Solutions Engineer owns architecture decisions and edge cases. You increase units to expand the scope of work covered.
Does my data stay in my own cloud, and how is agent access controlled?
The standard deployment keeps your data physically separated from other customers. A Bring Your Own Cloud option keeps your sandbox and context lake inside your own cloud environment. Agent access is limited to approved interfaces via an allowlist. Elevated permissions use just-in-time access, approved per operation and revoked afterward.
Will the agent take actions or run up costs we have not approved?
No. Agent capabilities are restricted to approved CLI and MCP interfaces through an explicit allowlist. Any write or elevated operation requires prior approval from a Solutions Engineer, and access is revoked immediately after. Cost work focuses on rightsizing and commitment planning, keeping a human on the loop for decisions.
