Cloud-Native Printing for the Enterprise
Future proof your print infrastructure with secure printing that reduces costs and downtime while increasing efficiency and visibility into your print environment.
Eliminate Print Infrastructure Complexity While Cutting Costs
If you're running print infrastructure on-premises, you already know the problem: servers that consume IT resources, costs hidden across departments, security vulnerabilities that accumulate faster than you can patch them, and a help desk drowning in print related tickets. Pharos Cloud delivers enterprise print management as a true cloud native service on AWS infrastructure, eliminating the server maintenance burden while giving you complete visibility into print spending across your organization. You'll shift from unpredictable capital expenditures and maintenance costs to a predictable operational expense model, with real-time cost allocation that finally enables accurate departmental chargebacks and budget accountability.
Security and Compliance Built for Enterprise Requirements
Your CISO needs zero-trust security frameworks and audit-ready compliance controls not legacy systems with accumulated vulnerabilities. Pharos Cloud is ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certified with built-in controls for HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOC 2 compliance, delivering the security posture and audit trail your compliance officers require without the manual verification burden of legacy systems. The cloud native architecture reduces your attack surface while providing centralized security monitoring and automated threat response, transforming print infrastructure from a security liability into a controlled, compliant enterprise service.
Support Hybrid Work Without the Infrastructure Headaches
Your distributed workforce needs seamless printing whether they're in headquarters, a branch office, or working remotely but your location-dependent legacy systems can't deliver that without exponentially increasing IT complexity. Pharos Cloud enables secure printing from anywhere with 99.99% uptime SLA, freeing your IT team from print infrastructure management so they can focus on strategic initiatives instead of troubleshooting print servers. You'll consolidate multiple point solutions into a single vendor relationship, reduce help desk ticket volume through self service capabilities, and integrate printing into your broader enterprise workflows through API-first design that aligns with your cloud-first technology strategy.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
Pharos Cloud prices by the number of users who need to print. You choose the band that matches your organization's size, from 0-1,000 users up to 100,001+ users. The six bands are tiers based on user count, not separate products or feature sets. As your user count grows, you move into the next band. Pricing scales with headcount, so you pay according to how many people print. All bands cover the same cloud print management platform. The final subscription depends on organization size and requirements, so contact the vendor for a tailored quote.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one user for billing purposes?
A user is any person who needs to print. The platform counts each individual who submits or releases print jobs. Your band is chosen by the total headcount of people who print across your organization, not by the number of printers or devices.
If my user count grows past my current band, does the higher rate apply to all users?
You move into the band that matches your total user count. The band you fall into reflects your full headcount, not just the additional users. The final subscription is tailored to organization size, so contact the vendor to confirm how a transition applies to your agreement.
What capabilities are included regardless of which user band I select?
All bands cover the same cloud print management platform. This includes secure release printing, direct IP printing, centralized driver management, policy-based controls, and real-time analytics. Mobile, BYOD, and Chromebook printing are also supported. Your band affects user count coverage, not the feature set.

What do you like best about the product?
Our sales and engineering support have been responsive, collaborative, and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We're migrating from a long-time Pharos Uniprint environment to Pharos Cloud. The Pharos Cloud environment is still missing critical functionality around user chargebacks and we've run into inexplicable failures with the Print Scout agent. Often the fix for one problem introduces a new problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need user-based tracking of usage. For example, how many pages of both black and white, color, single-sided, and double-sided printing did John Smith print last month? Then be able to aggregate and track that data over time. For some of our user base, we also need a way to charge them based on that usage.

What do you like best about the product?
We have liked the Remote printing, web portal access, phased implementation, improvements to the Mac OS packaging, and elimination of on-premises maintenance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the aspects we’ve disliked about the cloud include the lack of transactional capabilities tied to Transact. Since we’re in a higher ED, we’ve explored creative ways to recreate this functionality, but we haven’t been successful. Additionally, as a decentralized organization, we’ve identified the need to segment access to certain printers because they’re funded differently from others, and that functionality isn’t available. Lastly, we’ve also identified the need for multiple quota options and more automated ways to add points back when a user hits their quota.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far we see a lot of benefits to the direct print option that will allow us to decommission legacy print servers. We have also seen some great insights that we can make available for the IT support groups to utilize to help them better manage their areas.

Very good and flexible system

What do you like best about the product?
The product works well, very flexible, easy for our users. Unlike other cloud-based printing systems, Pharos Cloud allows for "push" printing in addition to "follow me" secure printing, with charge back options. Allowing for 'direct' printing (user clicks print at computer, printer prints document) and 'secure' printing (user clicks print at computer, when user identifies themselves at the printer, printer then prints document).
What do you dislike about the product?
Some reporting and user management needs improvement, but those items are being further developed and improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Account management, and authentication integration with cloud printings.

What do you like best about the product?
We are excited to be able to get rid of the hundreds of print queues we have on Campus and the many print drivers needed to get proper printing in our fleet. the ability to look for a printer near you and print without needing to install a driver is great. Pharos has been very good in helping us get the system tweaked to our needs and have been with us in meetings as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our only issue has been the time to get setup which is a lot our fault as we push for features to fit into our environment. Which pharos has been very responsive to. We will have the system we want when we completely transition to Cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We track prints for bill back, Pharos has been responsive and helpful in helping us meet those needs.
