AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the running compute, with no upfront commitment. Each dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, so pricing scales with the size and family of the instance you launch. Options range from small burstable instances for light workloads to memory-optimized, compute-optimized, storage-optimized, and GPU instances for heavier AI tasks. Larger instances within a family cost more per hour because they include more CPU, memory, or accelerators. You choose the instance that fits your workload, and you stop paying when you stop the instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I actually receive for the hourly charge on each instance type?
You get a preconfigured Ubuntu 24 machine image running LocalAI on the AWS EC2 instance type you pick. Each dimension maps to one instance size and family, defining its CPU, memory, and any GPU. The hourly rate covers the software running on that instance.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or paused?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, the software charge stops. A stopped instance may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for its attached volumes, but no software hours accrue while it is not running.
How does my bill change if I move from a smaller to a larger instance?
You are billed for the specific instance type running at any time. Switching to a larger size within a family raises the hourly rate, since it adds CPU, memory, or accelerators. The change is not automatic; you choose and launch the instance that fits your workload.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

LocalAI is an open-source, drop-in OpenAI-compatible API server delivered as a single statically linked Go binary - chat, embeddings, images, and audio served from your own VM with no GPU and no cloud egress. Unlike bare LocalAI AMIs that expose port 8080 unauthenticated to the public internet and ship without any TLS termination, this Lynxroute build is ready out of the box: per-instance LOCALAIAPIKEY at first boot, host Nginx with TLS in front of the API, the LocalAI process bound to loopback, UFW firewall pre-configured, and a CIS Level 1 hardened Ubuntu 24.04 LTS base.
MIT license - fully auditable, no vendor lock-in.
Preconfigured LocalAI virtual machine for running AI models on your own infrastructure. Unified platform for AI Chat, image and voice generation, LLMs and embeddings with OpenAI API compatibility.
Available in both CPU and GPU configurations.
