Production-ready WordPress Multisite with full root access, automated backups, and security hardening - manage multiple websites from a single installation with OS-level control on AWS.
This fully managed WordPress Multisite solution delivers a production-ready, multi-network CMS platform on AWS, built on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS. Every instance is pre-configured with security best practices, performance optimizations, and automated operations.
Why Choose This Over Managed WordPress Hosting?
Unlike managed WordPress services, this AMI gives you full root and OS-level access. Configure custom PHP settings, install server-level caching (Redis, Varnish), manage SSL certificates, and tune Apache/Nginx without platform restrictions. Run unlimited sites under one installation.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. The eight options fall into three families. The t2 and t3 dimensions cover burstable general-purpose instances in medium, large, and xlarge sizes. The m5 dimensions cover standard general-purpose compute in large and xlarge sizes. Hourly rates rise as you move from medium to large to xlarge within each family. You choose the instance that matches your workload, and billing runs through your AWS account with no separate contract. This managed WordPress multisite service includes provisioning, monitoring, backups, and updates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What determines which instance type I should pick from the eight options?
The instance type sets your compute capacity. The t2 and t3 options are burstable, meaning they handle short spikes on top of a baseline. The m5 options give steady general-purpose compute for constant workloads. Larger sizes (large, xlarge) add more CPU and memory than medium. Match the type to your traffic pattern.
Am I charged when the instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software fee meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS resources, such as storage volumes attached to the instance, may still incur separate AWS fees even while it is powered off. You pay only for hours the instance actually runs.
Is management work like backups and updates billed separately from the hourly rate?
No. Provisioning, monitoring, backups, updates, and security patching are handled by the vendor and included in the hourly instance rate. There is no separate contract or add-on fee for these managed tasks. Your bill runs through your AWS account based on the instance type and hours used.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
