Overview
AureusERP is a comprehensive open source, self-hosted Enterprise Resource Planning platform that consolidates accounting, invoicing, inventory, purchases, sales, CRM, human resources, recruitment and project management into a single modular admin panel. Built on the Laravel framework and the FilamentPHP admin panel with a plugin architecture, you enable only the modules your organisation needs and extend it with your own. All operational and financial data stays private on infrastructure you control - no third-party SaaS platform ever holds your records.
This AMI delivers AureusERP fully installed, migrated and seeded so a complete ERP is running within minutes of launch - eliminating the hours of manual Laravel, PHP, nginx, database and asset-build setup a from-source deployment requires.
Why This AMI Instead of Manual Installation
Deploying AureusERP by hand means installing a precise PHP extension set, configuring nginx and PHP-FPM, provisioning MariaDB, running composer install, executing the installer to migrate the schema and generate roles and permissions, and compiling front-end assets with Node. This image performs all of that at build time. Unlike Docker-based approaches that require container orchestration knowledge, this AMI boots as a self-contained appliance with the database, application server and web tier already wired together. The MariaDB datadir and the application code each live on their own dedicated, independently-resizable EBS volume for straightforward scaling and tier-level snapshots.
Application Stack
- PHP 8.3 with OPcache and every extension Laravel and Filament require
- nginx serving the Laravel public document root over HTTPS on port 443, with port 80 redirecting to TLS
- MariaDB bound to loopback, on a dedicated data volume
- Application code, configuration, storage and compiled Vite assets on a second dedicated data volume
- Database schema migrated and seeded, with Filament Shield roles and permissions generated, at build time
Modular ERP Feature Set
AureusERP is organised as installable plugins so the platform grows with your business:
- Accounting and invoicing - journals, chart of accounts and customer invoices
- Inventory and product catalogue - stock levels, warehouses and product variants
- Purchases and supplier management - purchase orders and vendor relationships
- Sales and CRM - pipeline management, quotations and customer records
- Human resources and recruitment - employee records, leave and hiring workflows
- Project management - tasks, timelines and team collaboration
- A Laravel-native plugin system for building your own modules and workflows
Secure First Boot
On first boot, a one-shot service generates a fresh application encryption key, a fresh database password and a fresh administrator email and password, all unique to that instance, and writes them to a root-only file. There is no default administrator login - the well-known install-time account is neutralised before the image is captured. The admin panel is served over HTTPS with a self-signed certificate regenerated per instance. Many competing images ship static default passwords; this image eliminates that risk entirely.
Getting Started
Retrieve the generated administrator credentials over SSH, browse to the instance address over HTTPS, and sign in to the Filament admin panel to begin enabling modules and configuring reference data. Highlights
- Complete ERP running in minutes, not hours. This pre-configured AMI delivers accounting, inventory, CRM, sales, purchases, HR and project management on a production-ready stack of PHP 8.3, nginx and MariaDB - no manual Laravel setup, dependency installation or asset compilation required. The database and application code live on separate, independently-resizable EBS volumes for straightforward scaling and tier-level snapshots.
- Secure by default with zero shared credentials. Every instance generates its own unique application key, database password and administrator login on first boot - stored in a root-only file with no default admin account. The admin panel is served over HTTPS with a per-instance self-signed certificate, and MariaDB is bound to loopback only, eliminating the shared-password risk found in competing images.
- 24/7 expert support from cloudimg with one-hour critical response. Engineers assist with deployment, upgrades, module configuration, database and storage administration, performance tuning and TLS certificate setup via email and live chat. The dedicated EBS storage layout means your data volume can be independently backed up, resized or snapshotted without downtime to the application tier.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Additional details
Usage instructions
Connect via SSH on port 22 as the default login user for your operating system variant (the user guide lists it per variant; for Ubuntu it is 'ubuntu'). AureusERP is served over HTTPS on port 443, with port 80 redirecting to HTTPS. Retrieve the generated administrator credentials with: sudo cat /root/aureuserp-credentials.txt. Browse to https://<instance-public-ip>/admin (the instance ships a per-instance self-signed certificate, so accept the one-time browser warning) and sign in with the administrator email and password. To use a trusted domain certificate, follow the TLS section of the user guide.

Response Times
Critical issues receive a one-hour average response. Our engineers work to resolve non-critical requests promptly during all hours.
Instance Sizing Guidance
For evaluation and small teams, a smaller general-purpose instance with modest EBS volumes is sufficient to explore all modules. For production workloads with more users, scale up to a larger instance and increase the sizes of the dedicated database and application data volumes. Contact our team for specific recommendations based on your user count and module requirements.
Getting Started
After launching your instance, SSH in and retrieve the generated administrator credentials from the root-only file, then browse to your instance address over HTTPS and sign in to the admin panel. For pre-purchase questions or deployment planning, email support@cloudimg.co.uk .
