An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
- Deploy a new Web Safety AMI, open ports 80 and 443 (for UI) and 3128 (for proxy) when deploying.
- Run the instance and wait a while until it fully initializes. Usually a minute or so.
- Login to Admin UI at the http://ip.address.of.the.instance:80 to configure and manage all filtering settings.
- Setup your browser to use proxy at ip.address.of.the.instance, port 3128.
- Browse the web, automatically filtering the undesired web site categories, adult sites and so on.
