Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. The rate depends on the AWS arm64 instance type you choose. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size across families such as general purpose, compute, memory, and storage-optimized types. Larger instance sizes carry higher hourly rates, and smaller sizes cost less per hour. This lets you match the operating system charge to the compute capacity you run. Billing is EMEA-only and follows your actual usage, so you pay only for the hours each instance stays active.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly rate covers the operating system license for one running arm64 instance of that size. You pay per instance, per hour it stays active. Running several instances means each one accrues its own hourly charge separately. The rate scales with the instance family and size you pick.
The software charge meters running hours only. A stopped or powered-off instance does not accrue the hourly operating system charge. Underlying AWS storage or other resource fees may still apply separately, but the license bills only the hours each instance actually runs.
Each dimension matches one specific arm64 instance size across families such as general purpose, compute, memory, and storage-optimized. The rate follows the compute capacity of that size. You are billed under the dimension for whichever instance type you actually launch. This host runs containerized and virtual workloads.

Usage instructions
Use the image to start an instance of your choice in Amazon EC2. Once the instance is running connect to it using a Secure Shell (SSH) client as 'ec2-user' and the configured SSH key. The instance is connected to the SUSE update infrastructure to receive updates. Use the transactional-update command to update the system or install additional packages.
