You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance size you run. The 22 options map to AWS instance types across the t2, t3, t3a, m3, and m4 families. Smaller instances like t2.medium or t3a.medium carry lower hourly rates. Rates rise as you move to larger sizes such as m4.16xlarge or t3.2xlarge. Pricing scales with compute capacity, so you choose the instance that fits your workload. You pay only for the hours each instance runs, with no upfront commitment.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One hour maps to one running instance of the chosen type, billed per hour of runtime. For example, a t3.large billed hour covers one t3.large instance running for one hour. Larger types like m4.16xlarge carry more compute capacity and a higher hourly rate per running hour.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the software fee. You may still pay underlying AWS storage costs for the stopped instance, but those are separate from the per-hour software rate shown here.
The hourly rate reflects compute capacity by instance type, not a support tier. The vendor offers tiered enterprise support plans separately, covering troubleshooting, 24×7 availability, and a dedicated account manager. Usage instructions
Our basic recomendation is to use provided security rules at least for deployment phase until successful app access. After deployment, you can access your application at http://<public IP>. (It might take up to 15 minutes to be available post-deployment). Default credentials should be username admin and password is your instance's InstanceID. If creds are not valid, check login greetings of VM. The machine should be accessible via SSH, default username: ubuntu. App login credentials (and additional app-related details) are available on message of the day (and /etc/motd).
