Everything is visual. You can literally see your data moving through each step.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licenses can run thousands per year, which makes it tough for students, small teams, or nonprofits.Steep learning curve — Even though it’s no‑code, the tool palette is huge. New users get overwhelmed fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-world data comes with duplicates, missing values, weird formats, and errors. Alteryx’s tools fix all of that quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx's ability to automate repetitive operations and data preparation is what I find most appealing. Teams can save time and concentrate on analysis rather than laborious data processing thanks to its drag-and-drop interface, which makes it simple to create, comprehend, and reuse data pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to list one restriction, it would be the expense of license. Coding may still be required for highly specialized analytics. Nevertheless, Alteryx's automation features and user-friendliness surpass these drawbacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I process data using Python and SQL, but Alteryx uses a visual workflow to automate a lot of ETL and data preparation activities. This facilitates better collaboration between technical and non-technical team members, expedites development, and makes workflows simpler to comprehend and manage.

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, Alteryx’s drag-and-drop UI makes onboarding easy, and it has a great support community. It integrates with almost anything and processes large data sets quickly, though performance slows down at terabyte scale. The new AI tools are useful for basic forecasting, but don’t expect advanced machine learning. The real issue? The pricing. It’s very expensive. The return on investment is only justified if your team can’t write code; otherwise, you’re just wasting money.
What do you dislike about the product?
What frustrates me most about Alteryx is the high pricing. It's very expensive per license. Plus, complex workflows can quickly turn into a messy tangle of visual spaghetti. Version control with Git is almost non-existent. It also uses a lot of memory on local machines. If your team already knows SQL or Python, paying for Alteryx feels like throwing money away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It basically kills the nightmare of manually cleaning and merging data from a dozen different places. Instead of wrestling with broken Excel files or waiting on IT, you automate the whole mess visually. It turns hours of mindless "data janitor" work into a single click, saving you tons of time for actual analysis.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Alteryx is how it simplifies data preparation and analysis. The drag-and-drop workflow makes it easy to clean, combine, and transform data without needing to write a lot of code. It saves time on repetitive tasks and makes it easier to build and automate data workflows, which improves productivity and reduces manual effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like about Alteryx is that it can feel overwhelming for new users because there are so many tools and options to learn. Some workflows can also become difficult to manage as they grow more complex. In addition, the software can be resource-intensive on older computers, and troubleshooting errors isn't always straightforward when something goes wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx helps solve the problem of spending too much time on manual data preparation and repetitive tasks. Instead of cleaning, merging, and analyzing data across multiple tools, I can automate these processes in a single workflow.
