Windows Server 2025 with 24/7 cloudimg support. Microsoft's latest Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) release, built on the 24H2 platform (build 26100), with extended support until November 2034. Features hotpatching to apply many security updates without a reboot, GPU partitioning with live migration, a more scalable Active Directory, and SMB security hardening with SMB signing required by default and SMB over QUIC now available on Standard and Datacenter. This AMI is Datacenter edition with Desktop Experience (full GUI), pre configured with AWS native tooling for monitoring, automation and secure management.
