AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
The software itself is free, so you pay nothing for the operating system license. Pricing is organized entirely by the AWS EC2 instance you run it on, billed hourly. Each dimension maps to a specific ARM-based instance type and size, such as t4g, m6g, c6g, r6g, x2gd, im4gn, is4gen, g5g, and a1 families. Costs scale with instance size, from nano and medium up through metal and 16xlarge configurations. You pick the instance that fits your compute, memory, storage, or graphics needs, and your hourly charge follows that hardware choice.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit represent for billing on this listing?
Each dimension maps to one running EC2 instance of the named ARM type and size. You are billed per hour that instance runs. The operating system license itself costs nothing, so your hourly charge reflects the AWS compute hardware you selected, not the software.
Am I charged for the software when my instance is stopped?
The software license is free, so no license charge accrues whether the instance runs or is stopped. Hourly dimensions meter running time only. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage or other AWS fees, but those are separate from this listing.
Why are there so many instance dimensions, and how do I pick one?
Each dimension matches a specific ARM-based EC2 instance type and size. Compute-focused families like c6g suit processing work. Memory-focused r6g and x2gd suit large in-memory tasks. Storage families like im4gn and is4gen add local disk. Graphics-capable g5g adds GPU. Pick the instance that fits your workload.
