Once launched, SSH into the instance. The default username is 'rocky'. You can switch to the root user environment by running: sudo su -

Usage Instructions
- Update the system to the latest packages: sudo dnf update -y
- Check the OS release information: cat /etc/rocky-release
- Manage system services: sudo systemctl start|stop|restart|status <service-name>
- List all active services: systemctl list-units --type=service --state=running
- Check the SELinux status: sestatus
- View and manage the firewall rules: sudo firewall-cmd --list-all
- Install additional packages using DNF: sudo dnf install <package-name>
Firewall Configuration
- SSH (Port 22): Allows secure remote administration of the instance. Required for initial setup and ongoing management.
- Security Recommendation: For production environments, strictly limit access to these ports to trusted IP addresses only via cloud Security Groups or the local firewall.
