AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
You pay based on four usage dimensions that scale independently. Projects count the deployable components you manage, like applications, microservices, APIs, or databases. Tenants count the customers or physical locations you deploy to using one shared process. Machines count the servers, clusters, or cloud targets your deployments run against. Task Cap sets how many deployments run at the same time. You add quantity to each dimension as your needs grow, so your cost reflects the size of your deployment footprint rather than a fixed plan.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one machine for billing?
A machine is any Windows, Linux, or macOS application host registered as a deployment target. Each Tentacle deployment agent counts as one machine. Each SSH connection to a Linux or macOS server also counts as one machine. Servers, clusters, and cloud targets each register separately.
How do the four dimensions combine to form my bill?
Projects, Tenants, Machines, and Task Cap bill independently. You add quantity to each based on your own needs. Projects usually anchor your footprint. Tenants and Machines scale with the customers and targets you deploy to. Task Cap sets concurrent deployment capacity. All four appear on the same invoice.
What does Task Cap control, and what happens when I need more concurrent deployments?
Task Cap sets how many deployments, runbooks, or health checks run at the same time. Work beyond the cap queues until a slot frees. You raise the cap by adding Task Cap quantity, which lets more deployments run simultaneously as your deployment volume grows.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
