Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run Appsmith on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, so your cost scales with the compute, memory, and processing power you pick. General-purpose types (m-series, t-series) balance compute and memory. Compute-optimized types (c-series) favor processing power. Memory-optimized types (r-series) favor memory. Within each family, larger sizes like xlarge cost more per hour than medium or large sizes. You choose the instance during setup and can resize later. Software runs on the same hourly rate regardless of family.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You get a preconfigured Appsmith environment running on the EC2 instance size you select. The rate covers the software plus your chosen compute, memory, and processing capacity. Deployment uses a CloudFormation script, and the guide recommends t3.large as a starting point. Meetrix support for launch, setup, and configuration is included.
Software charges accrue only while the instance runs. When you stop the instance from the EC2 console, hourly software billing pauses. You can restart it later by selecting Start instance. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees, but the software meters running time only.
Yes. You can resize the instance at any time or set up load balancing and multi-instance deployments. After you switch, billing follows the hourly rate of the new instance type. Moving to a larger size raises your per-hour cost; moving to a smaller size lowers it.

Appsmith runs on a single EC2 instance with IAM, Route 53, and Let’s Encrypt SSL pre-configured. It provides secure, browser-based access via a custom domain ideal for teams needing fast, private low-code app deployment on AWS.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
Click the "View purchase options" button. After subscribing, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on "Accept Terms" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on "Continue to Configuration".
IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the Appsmith service. The IAM Policy is created and responsible for access Route53 and create Letsencrypt SSL certificates. After the stack is created, please point DNS. Then access the Appsmith through https://<your domain name>
If you want to ssh into the server please use the port 22 and username 'ubuntu'. Admin email is neded for SSL generation.
