Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you choose to run this software. All 13 dimensions represent different instance sizes and families, so your rate scales with the compute capacity you select. Smaller shared-core options like t3.small and t3a.small suit lighter workloads. General-purpose m-series and compute-optimized c-series instances offer more sustained processing power. You deploy through a CloudFormation script, and the vendor recommends t3.small as a starting point. Software charges apply on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs. You can stop or restart the instance to control usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each rate maps to one running EC2 instance of that size. For example, t3.small is a shared-core instance for lighter workloads, while m-series and c-series options give more sustained compute. You pay the software rate per hour the instance runs, on top of AWS infrastructure charges.
The software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, software charges pause. You can restart it later to resume. Note that stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, which are separate from this software rate.
No. This product supports connecting to your existing relational databases, and Directus generates the API layer on top. Those databases are yours to manage. Only the instance-hour rate for running this software, plus standard AWS costs, applies here.

Directus Deployment on EC2 with VPC and IAM Integration
This deployment launches a Directus instance on an EC2 virtual machine within a private VPC. Usage instructions
Click the "View purchase options" button. After subscribing, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on "Accept Terms" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on "Continue to Configuration".
IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the Directus service. The IAM Policy is created and responsible for access Route53 and create Letsencrypt SSL certificates. After the stack is created, please point DNS. Then access the Directus through https://<your domain name>
If you want to ssh into the server please use the port 22 and username 'ubuntu'. Admin email is neded for SSL generation.
